Ozempic & personal changes

After eighteen months on semaglutide with pretty mediocre outcomes compared to what I read online, I decided to be more proactive about getting healthy. I'm still taking the medication, but I've completely overhauled my diet, exercise, and sleep. I still have a little ways to go, but I'm sharing a before/after. First pic was last spring when I weighed 310, and the second was taken recently at 180.

I'm so impressed! What a accomplishment!! You've literally added years to your life !!! Thanks for the encouragement.

That's a fantastic result. Well done! I'm in a similar boat. Been on it for roughly 9 months, and after some early success, I've been stuck at the same weight for the last few months. I consider that a win in its own right, but I've realized that I'm going to need to seriously adjust my diet and exercise if I want to reach my ultimate goal. I feel like Ozempic is helping me with impulse control.

People need to understand that these medications aren't magic bullets. Lifestyle changes are still necessary! The drugs can help you control cravings and quiet the 'food noise,' but you've still gotta eat right and exercise.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! I want to add that semaglutide affects everyone differently. I know it's tempting to think of it as a quick fix, but it's really just a tool you can use to help yourself.

I've also noticed that certain foods just don't sit well with me anymore since starting Ozempic. Anyone else experiencing this?

YES. I can't do tomato sauce anymore. Heartburn from hell!

Totally!

Ramen at night? Big mistake. Learned that the hard way.
