Ozempic scars?

It's a weird feeling, celebrating the results but also dealing with new challenges. I can't inject into my stomach anymore; I've lost 90+ lbs, which I never thought would happen after two decades of weight fluctuations. The loose skin is what I expected, but I didn't realize it would make injecting so difficult. The thigh is more sensitive, but manageable. I don't think I'll opt for surgery; I'm hoping with continued effort, my skin will regain some elasticity. The best part is being healthier. My BMI is almost in the 'healthy' range, and I'm excited to be a better role model for my little girl. Sorry for rambling, and thanks for this community.

(The attached photo is from 2017, when I was at my heaviest in the last decade.)

Awesome job losing the weight! Quick heads-up: if those skin folds start causing infections or fungal issues, see a doctor ASAP. Repeated infections might qualify you for skin removal surgery covered by insurance. I think the condition is called panniculitis or something similar. Perspiration can make it worse. It helped my mom get the surgery covered after some persistent infections! Insurance companies can be difficult, so advocating for yourself is important!

I know you must feel so much better! And you look fantastic. I really think, as your body adapts, the skin will improve with good nutrition and some strength work -- nothing extreme! I've noticed slight improvements in my own skin's firmness. You're young and active; your body will respond positively to the good choices you've made. Embrace the imperfections; they're usually hidden by clothes anyway. Enjoy being comfortable in warm weather! You're a handsome man and deserve to feel confident.

Hey Hank_1979, have you noticed any hair shedding? I've been on this for about six months and dropped around 45lbs, but my hair seems to be falling out more lately.

I haven't noticed excessive hair loss, but I've read that it can happen. Maybe try a biotin supplement? I'd check with your doctor, just in case.

Has anyone else developed, like, neck wrinkles? I saw them in the elevator today! I'm on the skincare warpath now! Hydration hasn't been enough. I feel like my face is aging faster than I am.

Weight loss definitely can reveal wrinkles that were hidden before. It's not necessarily caused *by* the medication itself, but the rapid change in volume can make them more apparent. Red light therapy might help.

Your dial's in units. One click is 1 unit. Want point-25ml, dial to 25 and go. Tons of calculators in the forum—my favorite is simple. Get familiar with ml and mg and wrap your head around decimals. Three main syringe sizes: point-3ml (30 units), point-5ml (50 units), 1ml (100 units).
