Ozempic Success & Switched Meds

I'm celebrating a milestone, down 117lbs in a year and a half! Most of that was thanks to Ozempic. I've since transitioned to Mounjaro due to some pretty rough stomach issues (gastroparesis). Don't let that scare you though, Ozempic, a complete diet change (think high protein), and a very active lifestyle, including regular weight training, totally changed my life.

My goal is to beat my personal best deadlift as a reminder of how far I've come. I'm currently pulling 345lbs, with another 85lbs to go to crush that goal.

Good luck to everyone on their journeys!

Way to go! That's amazing progress! I'm down about 20 pounds in the last year (switched from Ozempic to Mounjaro super quick too), still got a ways to go. You're inspiring! '06

I'm only going to keep taking these meds if my national health program pays for it. Otherwise, it's way too expensive month to month.

Oh my goodness!!! You're doing amazing!!! So happy for you. You're my new inspiration. I've dropped about 45 lbs and need to lose another 75-100 lbs.

Wishing you the best in all you do!

It's interesting how different GLP-1s affect people. I've been reading about how some people find Ozempic really suppresses their appetite, while others don't feel the same effect on Mounjaro. Has anyone else experienced this?

That was my experience too! Ozempic curbed my appetite significantly. That effect wasn't quite the same when I switched over to Mounjaro. I think everyone's body chemistry is different.

Wow, these meds really do work differently for everyone! I wanted nothing sweet on Mounjaro, but on Wegovy I CRAVE sweets.

I'm going back on semaglutide after a year on tirzepatide. I had better blood sugar and cholesterol levels with semaglutide. My numbers crept up a bit after being on tirzepatide for six months, even though clinical trials showed better results with tirz.
