Ozempic success?!

Okay, so I was on Ozempic from late fall until spring for a skin issue, totally off-label. And it worked wonders for my skin, honestly a miracle. But the insurance stopped covering it, so I've been without it for like half a year now. I've been super careful with my diet, and I've not only managed to not gain anything back, but I've actually kept losing a bit! Ozempic really changed my life, gave me a confidence boost I never thought possible. The weight loss helped my skin immensely, and I'm just so thankful. I can do stuff now that I couldn't before.

Wow, you look amazing! I'm hoping I can get similar results when I start. I'm about where you were before, so this gives me hope. If you don't mind me asking, what was your weight before, and how much did you lose in those six months?

Yesss girl, you look amazing! Congrats! How did you deal with the 💩 issues? I'm struggling with that big time. I really dont want to stop, because I'm on my way to reach my goals too. Seriously, having your life back and not being controlled by food sounds like a dream! So happy for you!

Just curious, was the skin condition hidradenitis suppurativa? My sister's derm suggested Ozempic for her HS. The doctor said there's emerging evidence it helps people with that condition. Thanks!

Thanks everyone! And Gym yes they are waistbeads but they're just jewelry for me, I've had them for years. MyBetter, it took me about six months to lose about 40lbs! It wasn't just the Ozempic though, I was also trying to eat better and get more active.

Does anyone know what happens when you stop taking it? I've heard conflicting things.
I've heard it's essential to make serious changes to your diet and lifestyle, like tracking calories and macros, exercising regularly. Otherwise, most people gain the weight back.

Exactly! If you could've kept the weight off with diet and exercise alone, you probably wouldn't have needed the medication in the first place, right? It's a tool, but you still gotta do the work!

I think of these meds like blood pressure medication – something you might need long-term. Talk to your doctor, of course.

Okay yeah, that's what I'm afraid of...gaining it all back. I was hoping it would like, reset my hunger or something. Maybe I should just plan on being on it forever?

Insurance killed wegovy for me too. Found way better prices online—like $199 instead of $1600/month. Turns out the PCOS actually does matter here. I've noticed this stuff helping with my inflammation pretty noticeably. Even helped with some achiness I used to have.
