Ozempic victory at 67!

I accomplished my goal today. After a year and a half of diligently sticking to a 1200 calorie diet, I finally made it. The last few months became increasingly challenging, with the weight loss slowing considerably. But perseverance pays off. At 67, I ran a solid 2 miles without stopping. Intense exercise isn't essential; it's primarily about diet and avoiding alcohol. Best of luck and good health to everyone.

You look great, well done. I've struggled to think beyond the immediate week, the current loss, when trying to lose weight. Until sema. Now I can see myself slimmer next year. The sense of calm is incredible. I agree about the booze, it completely throws you off course. Just like sugary food. A bit of moderation is okay, but minimizing these things is my long-term strategy for maintaining this weight loss.

Congrats! Fantastic to see someone else in my age range! You look amazing! Now, ditch the baggy clothes for some more fitted ones! I know it's hard because your mind takes time to catch up with your new body. When I did, I felt even better!

Today I hit goal. After 18 months of steady 1200 calorie per day dieting, I reached it.
That's amazing progress! I'm curious, did you find that your dosage needed adjustments over time? I'm concerned about plateauing.

I was on the highest dose for quite a while, and yes, the weight loss definitely slowed down. That's when I really had to buckle down on the diet and make sure I was hitting that 1200 calorie mark every day. It's a marathon, not a sprint!

I saw someone online had lost like, 115 lbs! Said they went from a UK size 26 to a 10-12. Amazing. I'm hoping I have the same kind of success.

Congrats on reaching your goal

! Did you have any issues with loose skin? I'm starting to think about that...

I saw a post from someone about skin removal. They were advised to wait at least 18 months after finishing weight loss, because the skin can still shrink! Might be worth looking into before going under the knife, Mel.

0.25mg for two months was perfect — no side effects, zero food noise, no cravings, no punishment meals. Then bumped to 0.5mg. Week one fine. Week two rough. Got stressed, started emotional eating big portions. Now big meals = diarrhea, burping, gas, stomach pain nonstop for a week. Exhausted and dehydrated.

longer I've been on Tirz the more I notice changes. beginning I forced one meal a day barely a few bites. now at a year+ I'm seeking food, eating lunch, keeping weight loss on minimal dose. everyone's different.
