Does anyone else feel like their dose is only effective for a couple of days? I'm on 1mg, and I get hit with nausea and those sulfur burps for maybe 48-72 hours, but then I'm ravenous for the rest of the week. The cravings come back strong, but I can usually manage them. Is it just me?

It's not a perfect fix. You still have to put in the work to change your eating habits. I'm down 140 pounds, still taking 2mg, and some days I could eat a horse!

I had that early on, but after about three years, it's pretty consistent. No fluctuations anymore.

I split my dose into two injections per week, Tuesdays and Fridays. I also inject into my upper thigh. I find that helps a lot with the nausea. My main focus is keeping my blood sugar stable, not so much weight loss, so your results might vary. I've also heard that changing where you inject can have an effect on side effects. Since it's just like injecting insulin, there are a lot of options.

I'm about to take my 8th shot of 1mg tonight. I inject on Thursday nights. I feel okay-ish on Friday, and then Saturday and Sunday my appetite is suppressed and the food noise is gone. But by Monday, the hunger starts creeping back and gets worse until Thursday. It's been like clockwork for the past month. I'm wondering if I should go up to 2mg, but I'm hesitant since that's the highest dose. So, I'm really focusing on tracking calories and getting exercise on the days I'm hungrier. It's definitely not a miracle cure. Feels like I'm spending a small fortune to not be very hungry a couple days a week. I've lost approximately 20 pounds since November.

I've heard that's pretty common! You might want to try splitting your current dose and injecting every 3-4 days. Or, talk to your doctor about increasing your dose. I'd try splitting it first before increasing.

Wow, I'm still on 0.50mg after two years, and I still get nauseous if I don't eat enough. Sometimes, I have to force myself to eat when I feel it coming on. This stuff is wild.

You should try splitting the dose. Inject half on day one and the other half on day four. It helps a lot of people because it spreads the dosage out. You could also up your dose a bit. Try doing .65 on day one and .65 on day four.

My stomach issues with eating get better the day before my next injection. I have to plan my food around that.

I've noticed that what I crave has completely changed since starting this medication. I used to love cooking and trying new recipes, but now I have zero interest in anything healthy. It's all carbs and bland foods all the time.
