[Update] First week on Ozempic – 27F – Down 2.5 kg / 5.6 lbs!

Hey everyone!
I’m a 27 year old woman, 5'7” (170 cm).
SW: 121.7 kg / ~268 lbs
CW: 119.2 kg / ~263 lbs
Dose: 0.25 mg
Total loss after Week 1: 2.5 kg / ~5.5 lbs

I wanted to share my first week experience – partly to keep myself amped, and partly in case it helps someone who’s on the fence and needs a nudge.

Day 1 – Saturday, May 17:
I took my initial dose (0.25 mg) at night. To be honest, I was a nervous wreck -- needles make me queasy -- but the injection was far easier than I imagined. Zero pain!

Day 2 – Sunday:
Felt pretty good. No hunger signals and a muted appetite. During the afternoon, I felt oddly cold and super tired -- had to crash for a nap, something I never do.
Also, the food obsession just vanished today! I had no cravings. My brain was blissfully quiet.

Day 3 – Monday:
Great day! Had tons of pep, walked 10k steps, overall felt fantastic.

Day 4 – Tuesday:
The roughest day. I make meals for people for a living, and had to begin prepping early. The nausea struck hard. Just the aroma of food made me want to hurl. Tried to gut it out but eventually had to puke -- just stomach acid since I hadn’t eaten that morning. After all that, a wicked headache set in. I drank water but could barely choke down any food.

Day 5 onward – Wednesday to Saturday:
Things improved! The nausea backed off. I occasionally have a slight headache when I wake up, but it usually goes away fast. (I've had killer migraines for years, so maybe it isn’t even the Ozempic.)
My appetite is still reduced, but I try to eat healthy stuff with lots of protein. I'm probably not getting 150g of protein per day yet, but I’m not sweating it yet.
I haven’t been exercising outside of work, which keeps me moving constantly. Planning to start regular walks soon.

Best part?
Food thoughts are GONE! I used to be a chocolate fiend and now I’ve gone an entire week without it. That's a huge victory!

Seeing the scale this morning and realizing I’ve dropped about 5.5 pounds gave me such encouragement.
I’m so thrilled!

Not sure what flair to use, but I guess this qualifies as a week 1 win lol.

I'm loving it... I think I'm about 3 weeks in... Still on 0.25... I tried 0.5mg once and it made me super nauseated... I'm sticking with 0.25

This is a great start for sure. I'm on my third week and I remember that first week being great due to the lack of food noise. I've found that if I skip meals the nausea starts creeping up, but eating a small amount makes it go away. Nuts have been a lifesaver!

Just a reminder to everyone to keep the weight loss gradual if possible. Rapid weight loss can cause some unpleasant side effects like loose skin. It's a marathon, not a sprint!

Great point! I'm hoping to keep it slow and steady.
