Ozempic weight loss - what happens after?

I've lost 45 lbs in about 4 months! Halfway to my goal weight and my blood sugar's way better! But these side effects are killing me, and I'm still on the lowest dose. I really don't want to increase it.

Have you thought about what you'll do once you reach your goal and stop taking it? I know a couple people using it and they're probably going to stay on it forever because as soon as they tried eating normally again, the weight started to creep back on. They're exercising more now, which helps, but they really don't want to be on medication permanently. What's your plan, if I can ask?

Just a word of caution for anyone starting semaglutide: stick to the recommended titration schedule! I heard about a person doubling their dose in the second week and it did NOT go well for them. Let's just say they needed a mobile IV nurse... 😂

I agree with TheStrong. Gradual dose increases are key to minimizing GI side effects. It allows your body to adjust. Also, pay close attention to what you're eating. Processed foods will definitely make any side effects worse.

It can take over a month (4-5 weeks) for a dose to reach its peak concentration in your system, so you may not notice side effects immediately. Don't expect to feel the full effects in just a few days! Also, shortages are happening, so don't be surprised if your usual dose isn't available.
