Both my doctor and pharmacist gave me this plan for that first 1mg pen, same as yours: 0.25mg x 4, then 0.5mg x 2, giving 6 full doses. The following pen, another 1mg, held four 0.5mg doses. Since each pen ended up a hair under 0.25 short of empty, the leftover funded one extra shot. Keep spare needles in case you use the extra or split doses. I ordered more needles from Amazon since the full 0.5 gave me too many side effects, so now I inject twice weekly at 0.25. Im still losing so it works for me.
