Pep's for hair growth??

I'm new to peptides but seeing lots of stuff beyond just weight loss. Anything that might help with hair growth? I'm kinda young but feel super self-conscious about my thinning hair, and hair transplants are super pricey. Sorry if I'm breaking any rules by asking, I'm still getting the hang of things.

Copper peptides, particularly GHK-Cu and AHK-Cu, are often talked about for hair. GHK-Cu is well-known here for skin benefits. AHK-Cu is more targeted towards hair specifically.

Thanks for bringing this up! I've been trying to figure out the best way to regrow my hair after losing what feels like half of it. I was planning to get GHK but I will check out the other one too. Good luck to you!

Have you considered Minoxidil? I've heard that combining it with Tretinoin can enhance its effects, though I'm not sure about other retinoids. Maybe worth starting with just Minoxidil on its own?

Disclaimer: Be aware that Minoxidil is toxic to pets.

So, weight loss can affect hair, right? I've lost like, maybe 20 pounds since January, and I'm noticing a lot more hair in the shower drain. I'm on sema. Should I be worried?

Thanks for the info, Pops. I'll check into Minoxidil. KelsK6, maybe that's what's happening to me? I have been losing weight pretty fast, maybe like 25 pounds since starting my GLP-1 in January. I didn't even think about that.

Yes, rapid weight loss can DEFINITELY affect your hair. It's called telogen effluvium. Make sure you're getting enough protein and vitamins! KelsK6

Spot on. Temporary hair loss due to telogen effluvium is common with significant weight changes. As GastricBypass99 mentioned, adequate protein intake is crucial. Consider a multivitamin as well, especially one containing iron and biotin.

Just a heads up for those experiencing hair changes with weight loss - make sure you're getting enough calories too! Severely restricting calories can exacerbate hair loss. Protein is key, as others have mentioned. Shakes can help if nausea is an issue! GastricBypass99

For hair peps, sort GHK-Cu, BPC-157, and TB-500 first - those three cover most vendor hair and repair categories. PTD-DBM and RU-58841 are the less-common additions in some catalogs.

For hair support from peptides, GHK-Cu topically and BPC-157 systemically are the two most covered - GHK-Cu has the stronger base for follicle signaling. The grooming layer runs in parallel, not instead.

If it makes hair grow everywhere, wouldn't injection make it happen all over the body? Or am I weird thinking about that because I'm female and guys don't really worry about excess hair?

The systemic question is the right one - injectable peptides circulate rather than targeting one spot, so whatever effect shows up for scalp could theoretically appear anywhere else that responds to the same signal. The body hair consideration is real and underrepresented in the usual answers on this.

GHK-Cu gets the most attention for hair in peptide discussions - there's evidence on follicle stimulation, though the topical route tends to be more effective for scalp delivery than subcutaneous.

Hair shedding from rapid weight loss is well-documented regardless of GLP-1 use - the telogen effluvium mechanism triggers when the body goes through nutritional stress. Most people see it peak around 3-6 months in and then stabilize as the body adjusts. Protein intake and micronutrients during the deficit is the most reliable thing to address it.
