Pics make me feel some kinda way

I was looking at old pictures of myself over the last couple decades. I have such mixed feelings. I feel thankful for my life, but also kinda bummed about carrying extra weight for so long. It's weird because I didn't always realize just how heavy I was. At 59 years old, I've finally hit my goal weight, after losing about 80 lbs. I've also embraced my natural gray hair. I feel older in some ways, but also better than I used to. It makes me a bit sad to see how much I struggled with my weight in the old pics. But here I am, finally. I've been on MJ/zep for two years and don't plan on going back to my old unhealthy habits. My labs are great. Inflammation is way down. Looking better is just an added perk!

You can only do what you know at that moment! I'm just starting my MJ journey and wish I could have started 15 years ago! I'm trying to be kind and compassionate to myself and thankful that I can start now. Glad to hear you've had success! Thanks for the encouraging words!

You're looking awesome! I regret all the years that could have been better if I was at a healthier weight. I've tried diets before but always gained the weight back. I used to think I looked fine in those old pictures, but now it's hard to look at them with the same feelings.

I totally get how you feel. I'm still surprised by how much weight I had put on. My husband was so used to me being heavier that he didn't think I was ever as small as I am now! I had to show him old photos from the early 90s! I'm still about 10 pounds heavier than I was back then, but I like how I look now! I've also stopped coloring my hair. I'm 61 and happy with myself! You look incredible!!

Congratulations! You looked beautiful before and after, but you look more confident in the recent picture. All those feelings are valid! In the last picture, I see a very attractive woman who has a lot of stories to tell. 🙂Keep it up!

It's interesting to hear about people who don't have a ton of weight to lose using these meds. I was always under the impression it was only for drastic cases. Good to know it can help with smaller adjustments too.

I'm also loving the gray hair movement! I stopped coloring mine a couple of years ago, and it's so liberating. Plus, it saves a fortune! ScaleHater, you are definitely rocking it!

For any of you on sema or tirz, are you finding you're less tolerant of alcohol? I've heard from some patients that they just stopped drinking because they didn't enjoy it anymore or had bad reactions.

I actually quit drinking when I started this journey. I feel so much better without it!
