Plane seat NSV!

Hey everyone! So, the last time I boarded a flight, I could barely fasten the seatbelt. It was so tight I was dreading asking for an extension. But guess what? Not today! Victory!

That's incredible! I used to work as a flight attendant, and I remember one passenger who had weight loss surgery. He went from always needing an extender to not needing one at all. He was so happy he started to cry. Huge congrats!

Oh, I totally get that feeling! I fly a couple of times each year to visit my folks, and I found out about that 'passenger of size' policy a while back—getting a free seat next to you. Still, it's kinda humiliating to have to ask for an extender. Most flight attendants are understanding, but all it takes is one judgmental glance to make you feel awful. My goal is to fit comfortably in the seat and have extra belt to spare. Huge congrats to you!

I haven't flown in ages because of that same worry. I was so afraid I'd have to get off the plane. My husband keeps pushing me to go, but he doesn't fully get it. I've been on semaglutide for maybe six weeks now and I've dropped like 23 pounds already! I'm really looking forward to flying with my son, who's seven and dying to go. Hopefully, we can make it happen by the end of the year. I'm at 252 pounds now; I was around 275 before, mostly in my hips and thighs. Reading posts like yours gives me hope!

I usually only fly once a year for a conference, and the first time I flew after starting this med was a couple of years in, because of COVID. It was the first time I comfortably fit in the seat. It's tough to complain about planes fitting more people nowadays.

I'm so happy for everyone hitting these goals! I've gone down a whole size, which I haven't done since high school! I'm so excited - can't wait until I'm a medium!

For me, my NSV was getting a trench coat in size small and it was too big!! That's never happened before in my life!
