Plateau at 7.5mg... now what?

Alka Seltzer and alkaline water are my favorites.

My heartburn comes from coffee, bending over, and sleeping flat. I switched to a low-acid coffee. And I sleep in a recliner if it's really bad.

Before starting tirz, I used TUMS for a bit, but not too much.

I am starting to think, 'Maybe this is as good as it gets, and 18 lbs is still a good start. Should I consider maintenance now?'

Don't give up! Five weeks is early, the lower amounts are just getting your body ready. Some don't see appetite reduction until the higher amounts.

Down to your goal at 7.5mg and stuck there. How'd you fix the extreme food aversion? Had it myself for 3 weeks and couldn't eat enough - had to drop back to 2.5mg. How long till it passed for you?

Started at 2.5 for four weeks, then 5 for three - felt stalled. Up to 7.5 for weeks - same stall. Now 10 and still nothing. Should this kill my appetite? First weeks I had zero hunger. Now back to baseline with sugar cravings again.

People always got something to say, yeah. I usually just smile and change the subject. This whole thing is personal work, and I'm grateful to go through it with folks who actually get it.

Awesome work! Same situation here - started at 240, down to 184 right now, targeting 145-150. Hit a wall for 8 to 9 weeks straight, which is rough. Using up this 10mg vial then bumping to 12.5 next week. Really want to crack under 180 soon. Multiple surgeries from 2019 plus knee surgery in June have slowed progress, but heading to the office Monday so more activity should help. Some mornings the mirror lies, but the scale tells the truth.

Body probably getting used to it, yeah. Hydrating makes me feel awful right now. Dropping back to one point five for a week.

2.5mg did nothing for me. Zero loss. Jumped to 5mg and dropped a stone in 2 weeks — probably water weight since I was still eating. Seems like some folks just don't respond to low doses but do fine at a slightly higher one.

Honestly, splitting to 10mg twice a week is the only thing I'd try — you've been down this road longer. Hope the reset works. Depends on where you're at too. If you're still losing or far from goal, a break might kill momentum and you'd add something or switch instead. In maintenance it's different.

7.5 plateau is common - body adapts and dose efficiency drops. Resistance training or a brief diet reset usually helps. Any exercise in the mix?

Lifestyle habits that showed the most return: protein first, consistent step count, and keeping meal timing predictable. The combination with reduced appetite is where the effect compounds. Habits that work at one dose often need adjusting as the dose changes.

The 7.5mg plateau followed by gain is the signal that the dose is no longer adequate rather than a lifestyle issue - GLP-1 receptor response at that dose level was the bottleneck. Moving to 10mg and recovering weight confirms the biology, not the protocol.
