Protein coke float? Yum!

I saw a TikTok about using a protein shake for a coke float. I finally tried it and it was amazing!

I got a diet cola, some ice, and a vanilla protein drink. Tasted just like when I was a kid getting a coke float. My grandpa tasted it and asked where the ice cream was!

Why Diet Soda Might Hinder Weight Loss:

It can make you crave more because the artificial stuff hits the brain without giving real satisfaction.

Some research says it messes with insulin, possibly boosting fat storage or hunger.

Even with zero calories, diet soda has been tied to more belly fat and maybe metabolic issues.

Why it isn't great with GLP-1 Meds:

Doesn't really satisfy you like GLP-1s should since it lacks actual nutrients.

It can mess with your GLP-1 goals by maintaining cravings for sugary junk.

The fizz and sweeteners might enhance the nausea some people get on GLP-1s.

Disclaimer: Stick to water or healthier drinks when taking GLP-1s for the best results.

I've been reading about people doing one meal a day (OMAD) on weight loss meds. Anyone have experience with that?

I read about a guy online who went from 260 to 180 lbs in four months on Wegovy (similar to Ozempic) and only eating one meal a day, around 1000 calories. Sounds extreme!

I did OMAD for a bit and felt really sluggish. I'm trying to focus more on protein intake now. I heard that it is important to get enough protein while using GLP-1 meds to maintain muscle mass.

People are saying its hard to get enough protein when on GLP-1 meds. I saw someone made a free website that helps you track protein and get recipes.

Was an alcoholic for a decade, then food started the same obsessive thing with pastry. Tried everything, diet crashed every time. Started the med and that noise just vanished. Now I stopped because of skin stuff and the cravings are back—cake or ice cream every day.

Fantasized about losing the weight and living happily ever after off everything — meds, statins, all of it. Then I learned more about my conditions and realized my body still has the same problems underneath. GLP-1s are powerful but I'm not superman. This is a long road.

Switched from friday to sunday, just skipped one week and moved it. totally fine. opposite of some people — i do great on weekends when i'm busy and relaxed. work stress + snack availability = harder for me during the week.
