Reta alone, or stack for faster loss?

I'm trying to mainly drop pounds and not too worried about losing muscle while cutting fat. Of course I'm staying hydrated, eating enough protein to help keep muscle, and I already workout like 5 times a week.

Thinking about Reta & Tesa, but someone posted that Tesa made them hungry, but Reta might block that according to others. I'm around 290 right now and want to get down to 200/210. Probably going with a popular vendor. (Heard they had good prices and are legit).

What are you guys taking with Reta to mostly cut weight/fat? Any other peps that go well with Reta?

I'd go with Reta by itself until you're closer to your goal weight, then use a tesa/ipam stack to target visceral fat. Maybe get a dexa scan or full body mri after you've been on Reta for a while to see where you're at.

You might want to stack other peptides for reasons besides weight loss while on Reta, but I like to try each pep for a month before adding something new so you can better understand the effects, good or bad.

Thanks for the reply. Any peptides that can help tighten skin to avoid loose skin, or does that depend on how fast I lose weight?

I was pretty close to your starting stats last year. Started at 285, this morning I weighed 200. I just used sema for 3 months before the coupon ran out, then I found Reta and have been using it for about 9 months now. Kept my protein intake high and didn't lose much muscle (genetics matter!). Now I'm focused on building muscle but still using Reta. I added KLOW, SS-31, Mots-C and NAD+ because I'm getting older and feeling run down. Basically, I cut for a year, fasted, did zone 2 cardio for 40 min a day, and had a 600+ calorie deficit. I'm now 4 weeks into a 4-day upper/lower split.

GHK-cu is supposed to tighten skin - there's a topical and an injectable form but I don't know if one is better or if it works to prevent loose skin.

The best plan, like you said, is to lose weight slowly so your skin can adjust.

Reta by itself will give you great results for a while. Here's my weight loss peptide history. I started with just reta for a month or two and then added the mitochondrial health protocol that's popular here. It's NAD+, SS-31, and MOTS-C. I was unhealthy for most of my life so I wanted to reset my body and start with cellular health. I felt great! Then I started cycling 5-amino-1mq which also helps with cellular health and weight loss. Now I cycle tesa/ipa with reta and I love it. I had a lot of visceral fat, so that's been my focus. As a bonus, tesa/ipa helps me sleep better, which lowers cortisol and inflammation and helps me burn fat and build muscle.

I lost 90 lbs in 2023. Started at 300 and now I'm at 210, so similar to your starting point and goal. I did all my peptide research while eating healthy and going to the gym 4-6 times a week. This year I want to get under 15% body fat before bulking.

For loose skin, I didn't get much. I started taking 1mg GHK-cu daily soon after starting reta. I can't say for sure it's why my skin stayed firm, but I think it helped, so I recommend it.

I've been on Reta & GHRP-2/Sermorelin for a few weeks. I notice increased hunger right after taking the GHRP-2. It's manageable, but I'm thinking about switching to a Tesa/Ipa stack instead to reduce that effect. Any opinions on the hunger differences between the two?

GHRP-2 is a ghrelin agonist, so it can really make you hungry. Tesamorelin has a slight effect on hunger, and Ipamorelin has almost no effect.

For those who have lost a significant amount of weight on Reta, where do you get your peptides? I'm looking for reliable sources.

I've been on Reta for a little while now, and I'm thinking about adding something to help with cravings. Has anyone tried stacking it with something else for appetite suppression?

I haven't started yet but I've been reading good things about one of the trusted vendors. I think I might go with them, they accept crypto payments too

Just adding my 2 cents re: Reta. I've been on it for several months and it's been a game changer. I'm also taking NAD+, SS-31, and MOTS-C now, but Reta was the main driver of the weight loss. I was taking 1mg GHK-cu daily shortly after I started reta to help with the loose skin, which I think helped a lot. I've had very few side effects, which is a big plus.

Hey @HawkLog, thanks, that's great info about the hunger differences! I'll probably switch to the Tesa/Ipa stack then.

While GHK-cu might help, remember that genetics, age, and skin elasticity all play a role. Slow and steady weight loss is generally the best approach for minimizing loose skin.

Reta alone is the stronger single agent for rate - stacking adds GI ceiling before it adds meaningful acceleration.

domestic sources, zelle payment, cheapest outside of overseas... honestly surprised more people don't explore other vendors. maybe they just spam less in the obvious places.

Reta alone is sufficient for most people - the three-receptor action already covers the mechanisms that a stack would add individually. The glucagon component is what distinguishes Reta's fat mobilization profile from tirz alone, and that drives the faster loss rate relative to other GLP-1 options. Adding tirz to Reta extends the GIP component, which helps with lean mass at the cost of more side-effect surface. For someone focused on scale loss without muscle priority, Reta alone typically reaches the result without the added complexity. The stacking argument becomes relevant mainly when single-agent Reta has plateaued.
