Reta and Insomnia - Anyone Else?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Big thanks to whoever suggested magnesium glycinate. Actually got close to seven hours last night, and that's without even adding glycine yet. My body owes you one.

Having trouble sleeping after my first reta dose (0.5mg this past Sunday). Felt weirdly 'wired' if that makes sense. Frustrating because besides that, barely any actual benefits yet.

Started at half a milligram myself (first dose was a Monday, planning to increase gradually week by week if things go smoothly), and I also had trouble sleeping that first night. Falling asleep wasn't the issue, but I woke up twice and couldn't drift back off, which is really unusual for me.

That tracks, 4mg still sits on the lower side, so I'm bracing for a few of these effects to pop back up now and then. Funny thing though, sleep's been better than it's been in over ten years, haven't woken up feeling tired in about a month.

Worth mentioning, ever since going on reta I rarely sleep past six hours total. Could push myself to doze off again if I really tried, but my body just naturally rouses itself right around that mark.

My sleep has gone haywire, just like it did on a sema microdose. I'd hoped low-dose Reta wouldn't cause issues. After I stopped sema I slept soundly again. For the past two nights, though, it's gone shallow again, a light doze that ends around the 4 hour mark.

Got the version without the numbing additive. Fixed my insomnia from the third compound the very first day I used it. Started with a small amount, aiming for a specific microdose, then dialed it back the following morning and stuck with a fixed daily amount, taken on waking, for the remainder of the vial, roughly three and a half weeks total.

Given all the confusion floating around about proper amounts, I'm curious whether going higher would add any benefit when I'm already noticing results at this smaller amount. Definitely planning to use it more often than just twice yearly depending on how my sleep goes, since that's been an issue for me even before starting the third compound.

Also added two other sleep-focused peptides after ten days, though I didn't notice any measurable improvement to my sleep tracking during that stretch.

Sooner or later I'll probably need some kind of sleep aid. Even at an early Reta dose it affects my sleep, and I assume it may get worse as I increase. I hope it fades, but if it doesn't, I need some fix so I can sleep properly.

My sleep got worse on reta too. I am just two weeks or so into it, so I wonder if anyone further along knows whether it fades. Either way my regular sleep supplements do plenty: magnesium threonate and citrate, theanine, plus liposomal apigenin (the chamomile compound, works so well its crazy). But even on that stack, which normally knocks me out within 30 minutes, reta wrecked my time to fall asleep, 1-2 hours. Once I am out, sleep is fine, but with an alarm I risk fewer hours. What helped a lot was strength training. Im not a late gym person, but on reta about an hour after each session I get so sleepy I could nap (I never nap). Weights 2 hours before bed brought my sleep onset down to under 30 minutes. The catch: I would have to lift every single night.

A decent share of Reta users get elevated resting heart rate and poor sleep, partly because glucagon activity pushes the brain to release more stress hormones. Tirz almost never comes with reports of insomnia, and there's no logical reason adding Reta would reduce it, more likely worsen it. Mixing GLPs at random and getting poorer outcomes than the thousands of trial participants who stayed on one steady drug is a sport, so go ahead it. Perhaps five compounds (sema, tirz, reta, cagri and elora) with growth hormone on top will get near what Tirz alone reliably gives.
