Reta and New Tattoos?

Hey everyone! So, I'm about to order some Reta, but I have a tattoo appointment at the end of the month. I've heard people mention skin sensitivity as a side effect. I'm wondering if Reta might make my tattoo hurt more? Should I wait until after, or will it not make that much of a difference? I'm impatient to start both!

Titrating up on Reta takes a while, so you probably won't notice anything by the end of the month. The starting doses are to get your system acclimated. You'll likely be fine. As far as shipping, domestic is usually quick, but international can be weeks.

Are you planning a GLP-1 tribute tattoo?

I think skin sensitivity is an uncommon side effect. I doubt it would affect tattoo pain much. Focus on avoiding stomach issues instead.

I had pretty bad skin sensitivity when I increased my dose too fast. It lasted about a month, but it's mostly gone now. It's rare, though - maybe 1 in 10 people get it. I doubt getting a tattoo would make it worse.

I've had some skin sensitivity on my legs and back for about a month. It's fading now.

I had a large back piece started last month with multiple long sessions. Some spots weren't bad, but my spine was super intense. I tried a numbing cream, which helped for a couple of hours, but it got really bad after it wore off.

I'm getting my arm sleeved finished up on the 17th. I'll have been on Reta for just over three weeks, and I don't anticipate any issues. My artist has actually asked if I'm even feeling it during recent sessions because I'm so still. I don't think it bothers me too much!

Thanks, everyone! Sounds like it's not a super common side effect and even if I get it, it might not affect the tattoo that much. I'm gonna go ahead and order the Reta then!

Just a heads up, I've been researching Reta quite a bit. I've seen dosing recommendations all over the place, from 2mg a week to only 0.25mg. It's hard to know who to believe!

I have to agree with GLP_Wan - start small. Better to go too slow than too fast and feel terrible. I know someone who got skin sensitivity on their face! No fun.

I read some interesting advice recently about dosing frequency. Someone suggested injecting at least twice per week and increasing the dose until you feel the appetite suppression. Might be worth considering instead of just one larger dose.

how long have you been on this? fatigue is normal at first but sudden severe fatigue after a while isn't. get blood panels done because fatigue can be tons of different things. shouldn't be getting medical advice on reddit.
