Reta dose - up too fast?

That's what I'm doing, while also tapering off another med. I've dropped ~120 pounds and I'm at my target weight now, but I could lose another 5-10 while improving my body composition. I'm on week 8, and I've got way more energy to run every day – I started just walking, then gradually built up to running 2.5 miles slowly. When I tried running before, it was impossible. No side effects, and my appetite is still moderate. Another med got me this far, but I want more energy and to be more active with Reta.

Upping the dose just based on the calendar instead of how well it's working seems wrong. If 1-2mg is doing the job, why double it at week 5?

I've been going up slowly:
Week 1 Thursday (1mg)
Week 2 Wednesday (1.25mg) / Sunday (.75mg) – decided to try every 3-4 days
Week 3 Wednesday (.75mg) / Sunday (1mg)
Week 4 Wednesday (1.5mg)

So far, just headaches/tiredness the first week or so, and now maybe constipated 'cause I'm eating less.

I saw something similar on another forum. I haven't started yet but I'm looking into it. I am a slow responder. I've been on another peptide since August and have only lost like 5 pounds with diet and exercise.

Just a heads up from something I read... if you go on vacation and decide to skip a dose to 'enjoy' yourself, don't go overboard. Someone said they skipped a week and ate like their old self and ended up with terrible nausea & vomiting. Be careful!

I've been wondering about using "click counting" to save money since the bigger pens cost the same as the small ones... anyone doing that?
I've heard the pens are only good for like 2 months after you start using them. People say they last longer, but I wouldn't push it past 12-16 weeks, even if you keep it in the fridge.

I do that! I count clicks for smaller doses. I get 2 months out of a pen that way. Plus, you can use a syringe to get the extra at the end.

Just FYI, I read that some procedures require you to stop taking it a week or two beforehand, so skipping a week here and there shouldn't be a huge deal.

Fast titration probably means faster weaning too. Cutting dose in half after a week off should be safe. Maintenance at point-five to one mg weekly or cycling off completely worth exploring. Most younger people don't have insulin resistance but testing helps with individual choices.

Yeah, I'd wonder about that myself. Case in point: I lost 80 pounds across 8 months injecting 2.5mg of TIR once weekly. Never bumped up the dose.

Staying at 1 mg since it's still dropping weight for me. Honestly, gradual works better to avoid extra skin anyway. No rush to go higher when things are moving along fine.
