Reta dosing...am I doing this right?

I'm trying to nail down the dosing on Reta before I start. It's a little confusing. I would like to start with 1mg weekly. If I get a 12mg vial and mix it with 2.5mL of bac water, that would make my dose .21mL, right?

So, 12mg Reta, 2.5mL BAC, using a 1mL syringe...that should equal roughly 1000 mcg of Reta in each dose at .21mL. Does that sound right?

Yup, your calculations look good to me! If you're asking if your math is right...it is.

So, 12mg/2.5ml peptide/bac, and you want a 1mg dose = .21 ml. I think it's about 21 units on the syringe = 1mg peptide.

Another way to think about it is 250 units of bac = 12mg peptide. So you want roughly 1/12th strength per dose...which is about 21 units.

I'm doing so much research, I'm starting to get lost! If I freeze my Reta, how long will it last? Or should I just follow the expiration date on the vial? Thanks!

Good question!
You'll probably have 200 more questions before you're done, lol. I know I did!
Check out some of the older posts here. They should help you out.

For those using GHRP-2, I read a tip about making it easier to measure smaller doses. If you have, say, a 15mg vial, instead of using a small amount of water, use 7.5mL of bac water. This way, 1mL equals 2000mcg, and .05mL equals 100mcg. Much easier to draw!

Good point about the GHRP-2, ProteinPioneer. It's easier to be more precise if you dilute it a bit more, especially if you're using a standard 1mL syringe. Insulin syringes can also help if you're dealing with very small doses.

I've heard mixed things about freezing peptides. Some people say it's fine, others say it can degrade them. I'd stick to the expiration date on the vial, personally, and make sure you're storing it properly in the fridge after reconstituting.

I was running 15mg once a week and switched to 10mg every 5 days. You aware that changed your actual dose on that 5-day schedule, right?

Went from 15mg weekly down to 10mg every 5 days. Just making sure you caught that you're actually reducing the frequency here.

I split it - half on Wednesday plus half on Sunday. This way my levels don't spike as high from a full shot all at once but I don't crash down before the next dose either. My body stays in balance and it's been really helpful. Eli Lilly has studies running at 20 and 25mg so I can't picture it being risky.

Some doctors really do overthink this. The company ran massive trials to nail down the dosing protocol. Might be time to find someone who trusts the science. Go back to point two-five and restart the schedule.

For Reta, 1mg weekly start is conservative in a good way - GI adaptation at low dose avoids early dropout. Standard escalation is 1mg every 4 weeks, ceiling usually at 4-6mg.
