Reta fatigue: Does it ever lift?

Been on reta now for about a week. Started super low with 0.75mg, just in case I had a bad reaction. I'm also on 6mg of tirz (which, honestly, hasn't been doing much for hunger, strength, or focus). Also been doing MOTS-C in the AM.

This week, I upped my reta to 1.5mg (yesterday), and I'm whooped. Usually, the MOTS-C gets me going for my workout, but I skipped today, which I haven't done in ages. I'm actually enjoying the gym now!

The upside is the hunger control on the reta (less so on the tirz, thinking of ditching it). But I think not emotionally eating is making me kinda blue. I'm not feeling an increased heart rate, so I'm guessing it's either the feels from no food comfort or the reta (or both!).

Does the fatigue ever get better?

Yep! Food was your emotional security blanket. Now you don't have it, so all the feels are coming up to say hi.

I turn into a whole disaster area when I cut back on food 'cause my coping is GONE. God bless anyone nearby til I find new ways to deal.

I was on trt beforehand.

I felt awesome the first couple weeks, then the fatigue smacked me. The next month was rough. Around the 60 day point, it faded. I also started using HGH, so maybe that helped? I feel fantastic now!

My doses:
* 250mcg twice a week for 7 days
* 600 mcg twice a week for 7 days
* 1mg twice a week for 2 weeks
* 1.5mg 2x/wk for 2 weeks
* 2mg 2x/wk for 2 weeks
* Now I'm at 3mg twice weekly and sticking there for a bit.

I want to hit 8mg total/week, then drop back for maintenance!

I had about 8-12 days of feeling tired on reta, mostly early on. It got better over maybe 3-5 days. So, yes, it usually goes away (at least, that's what happened for me).

I was super tired too, but then realized electrolytes helped a lot. Supposedly, Reta burns up vitamins and minerals quicker, and it shows up in different ways. Feeling tired is one of them. My blood work showed low electrolytes in a few areas. I began having electrolyte drinks daily, and it's made a big difference...even my sight got better. My eyes were blurry. After I drink one, it clears right up.

I'm taking around 6mg per week at the moment, and I'm not fatigued. I don't remember ever feeling tired when I first started it, but I switched from semaglutide to Reta.

I actually got more energy as I increased my dosage.
When the glucagon part started to shine. But eat a minimum, or you’ll be depressed due to low blood sugar and it doesn’t help energy. Emotional eating…I ‘missed’ that at first. I exercised a lot, six days weekly, and it helped. You need to work on the emotional eating problem, it’s tough, I know.

Tirz is doing that to me. Added NAD+, gave me energy but not motivation or dopamine. Emotional eating ties into that too. NAC is on my list.

So it does get better for some. I'm doing okay at a small dosage but wondering if reta's a good match.

I saw something about GLP-1 meds affecting sex drive... anyone else notice that? [URL='https://www.another forum to article[/URL] It could be the drugs, or maybe from not eating enough. It'd be good to know if libido comes back when people stop the meds and are stable.

People are also reporting less desire for alcohol while on these meds. Apparently, it can help curb addictions. It all has to do with dopamine rushes. There's also some evidence of anhedonia, which points to a bigger impact on the reward system, not just food.

I'm dealing with fatigue, insomnia, and skin chills (goosebumps). It's been 5 weeks and I'm praying it stops

I had similar issues and magnesium helped a lot with the insomnia and chills! Maybe worth a shot?

timing doesn't matter with this one. i dose mid-day sometimes fasted, sometimes not—doesn't touch my IGF levels either way. read the thread history here, tons of GH and secretagogue discussions. just make sure you're tracking IGF-1 for safety.
