Reta fatigue: Does it ever lift?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
1mg to 2mg quickly, good movement at 3mg, then stalling at 5mg with the fatigue staying is a common ceiling pattern on reta. the fatigue question in the OP might track differently when stacked with tirz versus solo - the interaction changes how both feel. what did you end up doing at the stall point?

Started running Tirz for maintenance following a big weight loss, mostly to keep food chatter quiet. 4.5mg did the job there, but even once the early fatigue wore off, my energy still felt somewhat reduced compared to my baseline. That continued after a couple months at that same level. Pulled the dose back to 3.5mg and added in a milligram of Reta, and now everything seems to click. Get the full upside of 4.5mg Tirz without energy taking a hit.

Based on my own experience, they're definitely not interchangeable. Went through something very similar to what you're describing, so you're not alone here. Honestly still working out the smartest way to tackle both issues together.

Once I started reta, hunger control turned out to be a relatively small piece compared to the mental food chatter. Around the three month mark on reta is when that chatter finally began fading. Still got the occasional pull though, so added cagrilintide to shut it down completely. Barely noticed anything at .5mg during that opening week so raised it to 1mg alongside 5mg reta. Yesterday's food intake was just coffee, a protein drink, and a quarter portion of my noodle soup. Zero hunger the whole day, and whenever I did eat, fullness hit immediately, not great if you're trying to hold onto muscle.

Anyone claiming cagri never triggers hunger is probably running a higher dose than they actually need, same mistake I made. Can't speak much to tirz, never really dug into it, but don't hesitate to test things out. At the end of the day we're all running our own experiments, tweaking numbers is just part of the process. Good luck out there

Dropped roughly 30kg on mounjaro through the original pharmaceutical route before costs jumped. Took a break for a few months, then quietly worked back up on Tirz to 15mg. It just stopped doing anything, plateaued completely, which is what pushed me toward layering Reta in a week ago. Went with 10mg tirz plus 2mg reta. Only seven days into that combo and hunger's basically nonexistent, mental food chatter too. Definitely feel noticeably lighter than before, suspect a lot of it was water retention that Reta's cleared up. Already down a kilo, the first change on the scale in half a year, so pretty pleased. Zero side effects so far, planning to gradually taper tirz down to 5mg and only raise reta when it's actually needed.

Interesting, I'd be curious whether Mots C could help here, can you elaborate? Two weeks into Reta for me, and the same instant appetite suppression, and yesterday for probably the first time I really felt my strength dropping in the gym. A dexa before and after would be nice, but paying that much for nothing except reassurance feels hard to justify.

It's a mystery to me, Reta as a whole. Lying in a little compensates for trouble dozing off. Pre-titration my energy and drive were great. At just 4mg weekly, my mornings have zero drive. Unless I run or lift, the funk hangs around until night! The calorie deficit probably plays a part, but wow, now I'm shopping around other peps for fixes. No regrets on the pep itself, I only wish my feeling matched how I'm starting to look lol.

My sister is about to quit Reta, since dose day flattens her badly and her body temp climbs the most. Barely any extra weight loss either (3 mg RETA plus 5 Tirzepatide). Whenever I ask about resting heart rate she has noticed nothing there. So I get to hang onto the remainder of my kit!

Mine is awful. Almost a year on Reta and I can't summon interest in anything, and getting to the gym is a struggle, which I used to hit 4-5 days religiously. It resembles major depression, but I'm thrilled to be the smallest in 30 years with lower blood sugar so I'm putting up with it. I'm hoping to lower the dose for maintenance and feel better?? Never went past 4mg. Might try tirz, though a stash of Reta sits in my freezer that would last years.
