Reta for Type 1 Diabetics?

take it on tuesdays but want monday, works better that way. been at 1mg for 6 weeks and just got used to the nausea last week, throwing up some but not tons. worried a day earlier triggers it all again, but also feel it wearing off and blood sugar creeping up.
 
yeah i hear you. if you assume nothing's sterile anyway then this isn't new, just hits different when you see proof. endos didn't jump out at me either. timing after the recent thing matters. probably what we've used all along.
 
Using GLP-1s in type 1 diabetics is genuinely complicated - T1D involves beta cell destruction rather than resistance, so the mechanism differs. The blood sugar management risk is also different because you're working with insulin dependency. There's research happening but it's not a standard protocol and the monitoring requirements would be substantial.
 
The zero research on Reta and T1D makes sense given how different the mechanism considerations are - glucagon pathway effects matter differently when insulin production is already compromised. The Tirzepatide T1D data is at least a starting point for comparison. What dose are you looking at and what's driving the interest in Reta specifically over Tirz?
 
the hyper-vigilant endo requirement for T1D and GLP-1 is not optional caution - the glucagon suppression from GLP-1 compounds removes the primary hypoglycemia protection mechanism for T1D patients who depend on glucagon release when blood sugar drops. the endo who knows the research and is actively monitoring is the difference between a protocol that works and one that creates a dangerous insulin-glucagon imbalance
