Reta making anyone super thirsty?

After bumping up to 3mg weekly, from 1mg over 6 weeks, I've become incredibly parched after each increase. Anyone else experiencing crazy thirst? It's way more intense than before starting this GLP.

Just starting week 3. Been feeling super dehydrated the last few days and water wasn't cutting it. Grabbed a bunch of sports drinks this morning and feel much better now!

GLP meds usually decrease thirst. I've read studies about it. I drank around 8 liters daily and it halved on semaglutide and is the same on tirzepatide 15mg and 4mg of reta. I would suggest checking your blood sugar levels.

Came here just to see if anyone else had this issue haha. Just took my first dose and have been strangely thirsty all day lol

I've pretty much doubled my water intake since starting Reta. But that also diluted my electrolytes. My sodium got scary low. I'm limiting my water now which gives me dry mouth but seems to be working. It got worse with higher doses, and eating less didn't help. Maybe lowering the dose would help others! 🙂

That's interesting! I'll keep an eye on it and maybe get it checked out. Thanks!

For people experiencing headaches, make sure you are staying hydrated and getting enough electrolytes. Headaches are a common side effect, especially in the initial weeks, but persistent, severe headaches should be discussed with your doctor.

I started getting headaches every week a few days after my shot. It got so bad I couldn't work some days. I'm gonna talk to my doc about it.
