Reta making me thirsty?

Hey everyone,

So, I've been taking Reta for about a fortnight now, and I've noticed some muscle twitches in the last few days. After googling around a bit, it seems like others have had this happen because of dehydration. Thinking back, I think I might be a bit parched more than usual. After drinking some electrolytes, the spasms stopped. However, I'm pretty sure I've been drinking tons of water/tea.

Has anyone else felt drier on Reta? Maybe this also explains some of the rapid weight loss i had at the beginning, even though i was already dieting hard. (maybe it was water weight)

Just curious about other's experiences.

That's funny you mention that, I was pondering this just a few days ago. I started Reta in April after being off GLP's for 3 months, and I've noticed that I've felt somewhat dehydrated occasionally even though I think I'm drinking the same amount. It's not so bad I get headaches, but definitely that 'dry' feeling more often than I remember on tirz. Also, I've gotten a weird craving for sweets, and I've never had a sweet tooth before.

That's exactly what's happening to me. The sweet tooth thing too, although I think when I was losing a lot of weight while dieting, I already got a bit of a sweet tooth... maybe my body wants high calorie foods?

I hope the water weight doesn't come back too hard when I stop taking these meds.

Your nutrient levels are likely lower because you're eating less. Ensure you're getting enough potassium. Tonic Water can also help a bit if you like the taste. It has Quinine. Fun fact: the quinine glows under a blacklight.

Honestly, I track my calories/macros really precisely and have been eating the same on/off Reta, same foods and same calorie deficit. I personally think it's something about the Reta itself. Maybe I'm sweating more? Or using more calories?

I've been researching Reta for ages. Some people start super low, like .25mg a week, while others jump right to 2mg. Seems like everyone's got a different idea of what's best. I'm always torn between what the clinical trials say and what actual users are doing. Who do you trust more?

Interesting to hear about the sweet tooth connection. I've been on TRT for years, and keeping the body fat down is a constant battle. If Reta lives up to the hype, it could be a game changer for guys like us.

I've been using Reta for a couple months now. Started at 1mg a week and I'm now at 4mg. Down about 20 pounds without changing much in my workout routine. It definitely helps with cravings. Seems to be working better than sema or tirz did for me.
