Reta making my heart skip?

Hey everyone, hoping someone can chime in with some advice. I transitioned from a different GLP-1 to Reta, slowly increasing the dose. I started noticing effects around 13 units, but still had some food cravings. I've since added another med at 20 units over about a month and a half, and the cravings are mostly gone. Now I'm dealing with an irregular heartbeat. Any thoughts?

Maybe try some taurine and make sure you're getting enough electrolytes. A deficiency there can definitely mess with your heart rhythm.

Could you please tell us the dosage in milligrams? "Units" doesn't mean much without knowing the concentration of the solution. It's much easier to understand that way.

I had heart palpitations for ages also. My cardiologist put me on a few meds until settling on Flecainide. It worked right away, even at half the prescribed dose.

Is this a new irregular heartbeat for you? If it's a new issue, you need to get it checked out ASAP. If you feel unwell, especially with breathlessness or chest pain, call for medical assistance immediately – don't drive yourself. If you feel okay, schedule a doctor's appointment for an ECG today if possible. If you can't get an appointment today, go to the emergency room. It might be nothing, but it's essential to rule out serious problems.

I grabbed a KardiaMobile device as a precaution; it's a personal EKG that's FDA-approved. I get occasional palpitations, so I plan to use it when I switch to reta. The app analyzes the EKG results.

I am currently experiencing irregular heartbeat from Tirzepatide. I've been prescribed Flecainide, but I'm also curious about Retatrutide. Anyone had fewer heart issues on Reta, compared to other GLP-1s?

That's a great question. It's hard to say for sure because everyone reacts differently. Maybe try searching online for other people's experiences or asking your doctor if they've seen similar issues. Good luck!

It's interesting how these meds affect people differently. My libido did take a dip when I started Ozempic, but seems to be back to normal now lol. I wonder if Reta will do the same thing? I am hoping the weight loss is worth the problems.

I get a bit hungrier before my period but no sugar cravings anymore — ditched the biscuits and Coke Zero. Eating more than before but no food noise. Just regular hunger, which feels normal.

we don't know the future but we know we need this stuff because something's wrong with our hunger that our body won't fix on its own. if we've got the money and access now, why wouldn't we grab them?

this stuff doesn't work the same on everyone. had minimal sides except some heartburn but zero weight loss on 2.4 for 5 months. noticed a tiny bit of appetite help but nothing like what people post here. thinking i'm a candidate for higher dosing.

The early palpitation pattern on Reta that resolves over time is consistent with what others report - the cardiac adjustment to the glucagon receptor stimulation takes a few weeks at each dose level before stabilizing. On 7mg without ongoing issues is the expected trajectory.
