Reta Prep Check - Am I Ready?

Alright, about to order some Reta and just wanna double check my list and see if I missed anything based on what I've read here. Add your own tips if you have 'em!

* Reta - before mixing, keep it at room temp, but freezer is better. After, fridge it. Good for 2 months I think?
* Insulin syringes - 30 gauge, 1cc, half-inch needle -- that size good?
(Saw one site mentioned: somewhere online, since Amazon won't ship to my state. Heard if you search for "dog" syringes you can get around it? Sketchy.)
(Anyone know where else to get BAC water?)
* Alcohol wipes - for cleaning the peptide vial and BAC water

Heard a special container is good for fridge storage.
Always let it warm up before injecting.
Drip the BAC water down the side into the peptide. Don't force it.
Don't shake it post-mix. Roll it gently until its see-through.
Pinch a good bit of skin at an angle when injecting. Go slow.
Rotate injection sites, like stomach sides and legs.
Start low if you're a newbie (aiming for 1mg a week, so 0.5 on Mondays and 0.5 on Thursdays).
Inject before sleeping to soften side effects.

Stay hydrated!

Anything else I'm missing?

That syringe is way too big. Try 31 or 32 gauge and like 8mm long.

Honestly, most of that is kinda whatever. Do it if you want, but it's probably not critical. Angled needles are for longer needles. Half-inch or less goes straight in. I avoid thighs, too. Triceps and side delts are better, IMO. I think you meant 1mg, not 1ml?

I'm not sure where you got some of this information, CoffeeChugger, but some of it is questionable, and some is just incorrect.

Storing for longer than 4 weeks is a personal choice based on your tolerance for risk.

Everyone should start with a 29G needle, as the difference is negligible.

I never let it warm up. Body temp will normalize almost instantly.

Those are just old wives' tales. Inject the BAC water, don't worry about the angle, or shaking versus not shaking.

Newbies, go straight in at 90 degrees.

"Slowly" injecting almost guarantees pain. Stab and inject.

Start with the recommended dosage on the peptide insert. Once a week means once, not twice.

One thing I'd suggest is that my first vial lasted almost 2 months. You didn't say the vial size, but I always drew the dose and put the vial back in the fridge. I'd let the syringe warm up, or hold it in my hand, instead of warming the whole vial. It lasts up to 60 days that way.

I mostly agree with what's been said. I don't blast the plunger down, especially with tiny syringes.

Syringes come in 0.3ml, 0.5ml, and 1ml sizes. It's easier to measure accurately with a 0.3 or 0.5ml syringe than a 1ml one.

How cold you need to store it depends on how long you need it. If you're only using one kit, a year in the fridge is fine. If you're hoarding for years, then freeze it. I just freeze mine anyway. Too much stuff for the butter compartment, which is my fridge med storage.

I keep stuff for 60+ days, but that's against the rules. Your risk.

I use injection pens instead of syringes and got everything but the peptides from one store. A one-stop shop. Not the cheapest, but easy. Zero issues with orders.

You don't need that long of a needle. Mine are 5mm (half the size you want).

My first peptide case was a lunchbox because I liked the color. Now I use an art supply case. My filled injection pens are in a pencil case from a discount store. Side pocket for needles/pads. Nothing fancy.

Nope on warming it up.

Nope on the drip.

Whatever on shaking. Dissolves fast anyway. It's going in your bloodstream.

Whatever on the angle. Just get it in the fleshy part. Pinch, stab, inject.

I believe in low doses and increases, but the 2x a week thing? Nah. Doesn't matter. Injecting at night to avoid sides? Reta doesn't work like that. Sides hit me on day 2.

Water, protein, fiber, a multivitamin, and sleep.

There's data that bumps and shock break stuff down, so I'm not shaking anything. Treat those peptides gently! Why risk it?

Just had my first injection yesterday. Hoping for some weight loss and to get my high blood pressure under control (developed after my pregnancy). Anyone else have a similar experience at the start?

Inject peptides before sleep so side effects aren't that affective.

Just a heads up, for me Reta was kinda slow to kick in the sides. I'd suggest starting on a Saturday morning so you have time to gauge how you respond and seek medical attention if necessary.

Two years ago I asked my doc for help with weight and pre-diabetes and he started me on weight loss meds. Best health decision I ever made.

wow, 250mg! thought my 100mg occasionally after 2 months was the max. love what NAD+ does so tempted. got questions though—what about dilution? got 500mg vials and if i want 250mg in 1ml syringe that's 2ml BAC. recipe for a huge sting? or do you take multiple shots?

Small bruise and sore spot after injection last night. bent the wrong way and felt it in my belly. messaged my provider and she said the needle's so small bruising is weird, try a different spot next week. just need reassurance it's normal?
