i only recently gave in to the advice about filtering when reconstituting, and made sure to buy good quality filters, not somewhere to save money. also feel lucky to be in a country where genuine hospital-grade bac water is still easy to find, pricey but not worth stressing over either. a member here ran a test showing standard bac water worked best at actually killing a mixed bacteria colony across several days, room temp vs fridge, not just stopping growth. so from now on i leave the vial on the counter for some days after recon, filtered or not, then fridge for as long as 3 months. otherwise the usual: alcohol wipe on the vial top before every puncture, new needle each time, swab the skin, skip hospital settings.
