Reta sides at tiny dose?

Hi everyone. Long time follower, first time making a post. 😉

My partner wanted to give Reta a shot. I haven't used it before and don't usually get bad side effects with other stuff. She took half of the starting dose (0.5 mg) to be cautious. But it caused bad nausea and the runs for several days. She jokes that she will lose some weight at least. Has anyone had a comparable introduction to Reta, and did the symptoms lessen as your body got used to it? Or should she switch to Tirz to see if she reacts the same way?

I read through some of the studies and tons of forum threads and saw that most of the benefits from Reta come around the 5mg-6mg mark. Some folks can handle bigger starting doses, but others have bad side effects. I started at 2mg and then added 1mg every 3-4 days until I felt something. My first 2mg didn't do anything, and neither did the 1mg a few days later (starting to think it was bunk). Then I took another 1mg (4mg total over 7 days), and the next day I had terrible nausea, diarrhea, sulfur burps, etc. After that, I started taking weekly shots and hung around 2mg for 2 weeks, then increased by 1 mg every couple of weeks until I got to 6mg. I've been there for a while now. Zero sides, and I'm losing about 1-3lbs each week.

I keep seeing on forums and social media that the good effects of reta only start happening at medium or higher dosages.

I just want to say that the clinical trials disagree, with benefits starting right away, even at 1mg.

Maybe people have too-high expectations, or maybe they're already used to GLP-1s from sema or tirz, or maybe it's just a shared delusion. I don't know.

I had benefits immediately. Not as much at 2mg, but moving to 4mg, I started seeing great results. I didn't get any sides (still don't get many) and trusted the process. I don't get why people want to titrate up so fast. I'm at 7mg now, but I wish I could have stayed at a lower dose!

I've read that even low doses can be effective. The trials show benefits beginning right away with the starting dose, even with just 1mg. Maybe it's just individual sensitivity.

I've been researching Reta a lot. I saw some folks talking about ordering from overseas, then testing it. Some are starting super low, like 0.125mg twice a week. They're on Tirzepatide already and just want to see if Reta is better.

Testing sounds smart! I wonder how long testing takes? I'd hate to wait a month to get started, lol.

Starter doses hit hard for some folks but clear fast. Taking 0.2 on Friday afternoon and feeling normal by Monday is totally plausible. Many report improvement within three days. You're smart to try it on a weekend. Fatigue worries are legit if work is demanding.

Recognize it's probably safe and slowly collecting a kit. Just always preferred sticking to established drugs in general populations. Know I'm closing eyes with this thing but tell myself the dose is tiny and not forever.

One week is short for assessing response. Trials opened at 2mg though, so if you're tolerating sides well or none at all, could move to 2mg. Takes 4 weeks hitting therapeutic levels, so stay there monthly. I did 1mg twice weekly for opening 2 weeks before 2mg weekly, but hindsight could've started at 2mg per shot. Depends on you.

Ran a kit of SS-31 10mg with NAD+. Felt tired after shots, didn't realize till weeks later I wasn't as tired during the day. Ordered another kit for MOTSC + remaining NAD. Slow gradual improvement, not fireworks. I'm 40s, post-meno 8 years, take any boost and keep layering what works. 10/10 would do again.

You look incredible and girl your results are amazing. I lost a ton too and struggled seeing myself differently. Didn't realize how much changed till someone pointed it out. Used to be self-conscious about comments, now I need them to remember how far I've come. It's not just weight loss, it's self-love. When you feel down, look at the before pics.

Side effects at the starting dose are a positive sign for Reta - it means the receptor is responding. Starting low with a new person makes sense especially with zero GLP-1 experience. Nausea and fatigue are front-loaded and typically ease by week 3-4 at the same dose. Give it time.

Stacking at a tiny dose creates exactly this problem - when sides hit, you can't tell which compound is responsible without stopping one at a time.
