Reta strength fading already?

Just started Reta Sunday night. Monday and Tuesday, barely any appetite. But tonight, I'm starving! Does that mean it's losing its effect? Also, got a red spot near the injection site. Normal, or a reaction?

It can take a couple of weeks for the full kick-in to happen. I saw it take almost a month with a friend. I've had minor bruising at the injection spot before, so the redness could be nothing unless you get other symptoms.

How much did you use and how did you prep it? You're keeping the Reta cool, right? I'm no expert on Reta, but that red spot sounds pretty typical for these types of meds. Around 5-15% of people see some redness, swelling, or itching near the injection. Usually it’s just a little immune response and clears up in a day or two.

Throw some ice on it. Also, switch up injection spots -- tummy, thighs, arms. Don't inject cold stuff, let it warm up first. Make sure you clean the area first, pinch the skin, inject slow, and don't rub it hard after. If the redness spreads, gets super itchy or painful, or lasts more than a week... then worry.

The hunger fluctuations are not unusual. Retatrutide sometimes causes temporary increases in appetite, even when the overall effect is appetite suppression. Next time you feel ravenous, try eating a normal-sized meal and see how you feel afterwards.

I've been taking Reta for about a month and a half now, and it really does kill your appetite. We've had to change our eating habits. I wasn't hungry at all at first, but I realized I wasn't eating enough. I have a light breakfast, like an egg and some turkey sausage. Lunch is usually a protein shake. Dinner is some lean meat, like chicken or fish, with a steamed veggie or a small salad. My appetite is way down, but that's helped me lose about 20 pounds. Eating dinner early is also helping.

I agree with Gimme_the_Jab, that's definitely something worth trying. I use half-inch needles and haven't had any issues. Switching from the short needles to slightly longer ones helped some people I know too.

Thanks for the advice. I'm on 2.5mg to start, using a pen with a short needle (4mm I think). I left it out of the fridge for maybe 5 mins before injecting.

Update: The red mark is going away now, didn't hurt at all. My appetite is coming back, I can eat a proper meal now instead of just snacking. Also, my nipples have become really sensitive, which I was expecting.

When I first started, I got red and itchy spots sometimes, but it stopped after a couple of months. I figured my body just wasn't used to the injections at first.

That's funny, IF-warrior, I had the opposite experience. I was fine for the first half a year, then started getting raised, itchy welts at the injection site. Switched to a longer needle and it stopped.

For men on TRT who are trying to lose stubborn fat, retatrutide presents a new option. It may deliver dramatic weight loss and muscle preservation that other GLP-1 medications have not achieved for these individuals.

I've heard of people having success with Retatrutide when Semaglutide gave them nasty side effects. I may need to try it.

I was nervous to try this after reading all the side effects from the other medications, but so far I'm doing great with it and dropping weight!

I prep syringes a week ahead, so time's not an issue. Not sure why you'd shoot in your glute—I do GHK-Cu in the abdomen. Personal call though. No right or wrong. Mix GHK with extra BAC to cut down the sting.

BPC157/TB4 blend helped my shoulder pain a ton. added CJC1295/Ipamorelin and now i only get pain with specific moves or if i overdo it on benchpress. rotating the shoulder injections makes a huge difference. feels like i knocked 10 years off at mid-40s.

bac water waste gets me. use 10ml vials, 3ml to tirz and rest goes to KLOW. makes KLOW diluted but helps with injection sting.

Tested the two V2s and they worked perfectly. Dosing accuracy was solid. I tested with tap water and a used injector and syringe multiple times just to be sure—pretty OCD about it—and the mechanism does smooth out with use. Grabbed two from Canada for $30 each plus shipping. Haven't actually used the other brand yet.

DocInTheBox that combination you described is what a lot of people have been asking about. The muscle preservation piece is what separates this from older options where the weight came off but so did a lot of strength. Good to see someone putting that into plain terms.
