Reta taste changes?

Been on Reta almost 5 weeks. It rocks, and I've noticed a weird (but welcome) change. Used to live for Burger King, now it makes me wanna hurl. Anything super greasy or processed just doesn't sit right. Anyone else experiencing this?

I was hooked on about half a dozen diet sodas every single day, and now I don't even crave them - at all. Haven't had one in close to 2 months now.

I had a massive sweet tooth, always reaching for something sugary at work. Now, I can easily resist. The craving is just...gone. I still enjoy sweets, just don't need them constantly. Now, I actually want savory things.

Because our digestion is slower, really rich foods can cause issues. Listen to what your body is telling you! It knows best! If I have pizza, I stop when I am basically at the point of satiety and not a crumb more. I'll be up a pound or two the next day - so I know it's just hanging out LOL.

Same here. Used to drink regular soda and juice all day long, and gallons of milk. Now I pretty much only drink water, almond milk, and the occasional Red Bull. Total 180.

Exactly. The slowed gastric emptying is key. It's not necessarily the food itself, but the quantity. Eating smaller portions, more frequently, can often mitigate the negative side effects.

I've been experimenting a little bit with healthier alternatives. I saw some dude who lost a ton of weight posting about loaded nachos? I might try to make my own version. Quest chips, some lean turkey...sounds pretty good!

I had a really bad experience eating a spring roll at a Vietnamese place. It was fried and tasted disgusting. Nothing like I remembered. I only got a few bites down. Fried foods are a major trigger for me now.

Oh no! So sorry to hear you've had issues with some foods... I just started on this a few days ago, so I am trying to figure it out.

Right thinking on the long-term view. How fast you get there doesn't matter much. Higher doses make more sense for severe obesity and health issues like high blood pressure or age. At 50 pounds over, lower and slower is fine.

'not FDA approved' doesn't really tell people if something is low-risk or actually harmful—it just lumps everything together. most people don't have the background to sort it out. plus complications and hospitalizations impact the whole healthcare system, not just one person.

Capsule for Reta taste doesn't apply - the peptide absorbs subcutaneously, not through the gut. If it's a post-injection throat track, switching injection sites reduces it more reliably than masking.
