Reta - Week 2 thoughts?

Okay so, the appetite crushing thing? Not as strong as I thought. Dropped some water weight, feels like it anyway. Started with 1.5mg last week, did the same today. Sticking with it 'til week 5, then gonna try doubling. Heard it takes a month to see real changes, how will I know when it's working, though? And, can I build up my shoulder muscles at the gym while also losing body fat?

Depends if you've used peptides for weight loss before. If it's your first time, lower doses might work. If not, you might need to go up to like 8mg to see something. I started at 1mg for two weeks 'cause I was worried about heart rate increases (sema messed me up). After two weeks, I followed the study schedule, upping 2mg every month. Felt it working at 6mg, but 8mg is where I really started losing.

If you want bigger shoulder muscles, gotta put in the work and eat more protein. Focus on specific exercises to get the most out of your workouts. Make sure you stretch!

Working out and protein are key. I had a decent build from back in the day. Down almost 45lbs since early Sept. Been on TRT for a few years, but wasn't working out. Started Reta at 500mcg every other day, now I'm at 4mg twice a week. It's been amazing for me.

I'm 45, male, started at 255, now 211, body fat around 15.5%. Didn't get my starting body fat, but it was like low 20s. Most accurate reading was in October at 233lbs and 17.7% body fat.

In my experience with Reta, the appetite suppression can be pretty mild. It's the only GLP I've ever taken, so I can't compare it to anything else. But from what I've seen, a lot of people think Reta has the weakest appetite suppression. Everyone reacts differently, though. At your current dose, you probably won't feel much of anything. I started at 2mg and quickly went up to 4mg. Noticed it more then. Half a year later, now I'm at 10mg per week. Once you hit the 6-8mg range, you'll see the benefits of a faster metabolism and more fat burning.

Just Reta for now. Gonna start some other stuff soon too. I'm 6'0.5", around 178lbs, and maybe 21% body fat. Can run 3 miles in about 23 mins. I'm probably eating around 130-150g of protein a day. I drink 3 scoops of protein powder, about 25g each, and mostly eat meat, fats, and a few carbs. My current workout weights are...

Thanks! Can you put on muscle while losing fat? I'm not sure I'd ever go that high on the dose since I'm pretty healthy already.

I can build muscle and drop about 2lbs a week without any supplements. But I have a very strict routine:

Day 1 - fast and do cardio
Day 2 - maybe fast again for 36-48 hours or eat if I feel bad
Day 3 - eat normal, focus on protein
Day 4 - run
Day 5 - lift weights
Day 6 - rest and eat more protein
Day 7 - heavy weight lifting, eat a lot, especially protein

And so on every week

Took some meds for school yesterday and today and they crushed my appetite lol. I'm not using roids right now, so I'm just wondering if being in an 800 calorie deficit could still help my shoulders grow while losing body fat.

I went from 2iu to 4iu and I'm staying there! Get your IGF-1 tested before you start. Honestly, get a full blood panel, including A1C. They'll run those tests before TRT anyway, except for the IGF-1. After you find a steady dose, check your IGF-1 again in a month or so. Also, get a CGM or something to track your blood sugar.
