Reta working TOO well?

Anyone else on a super tiny dose? I'm on 1mg of Reta weekly and it seems like overkill. I practically have to force-feed myself. I went from 290 to 225 on tirzepatide, and then down to 180 on Reta in a little over a year. I'm gonna be on GLP-1s forever. Reta is really leaning me out. Thinking of dropping to 0.70mg a week. Anyone relate to this? I'm still lifting heavy, and before, it took 8mg of Reta to get me where I wanted. Now it's like my body wants me to stop. Not gonna happen. I just have these 50mg vials...

I'm taking 1.5mg each week. I've dropped around 40 pounds in about 2 months. I'm super active, though, with workouts and cardio every day. My diet is pretty on point. I used it after a bulking phase.

Kelly14 When I saw the title, I thought you were just a low maintenance kind of person, not that you needed a low dose! It's amazing if you can sustain the weight loss on a small dose, assuming you find the right amount. I haven't reached maintenance yet, so I can't speak from experience. Congrats on slimming down!

It's all good, not that stressed about it. Just kinda funny. So awesome, 1.5mg weekly is like $12 a month!

I said I'd be on GLP-1s forever, but I just had my first week off. I lift 6 days a week, no cardio. Surprisingly, no crazy hunger. It's hard to gauge Reta's effect, even at 0.5mg, which still gave me great weight loss. I guess I tapered off instead of quitting cold turkey. Feels good, maybe others could try that.

Last Thursday was Christmas. The week between Christmas and New Year's is notorious for all the tempting foods. That's my guess.

The hardest fast I ever did was December 26th to January 2nd, even though I've fasted longer. It was the constant temptation. If I had GLP's back then, it would have been a piece of cake.

Don't forget these meds have a half-life longer than the time between doses. They build up. The effect doesn't disappear in just one week.

From what I've seen, people don't use as many milligrams of Reta as they do with Tirz, except maybe in studies. So, how many ml/units are in the syringe when you inject 2mg or less?

It depends on the BAC amount. I use a calculator and often use 0.5 and 0.3 ml syringes for smaller doses. Units stay the same. Smaller syringes are just more accurate for smaller amounts.

My spouse and I both draw from a 50mg vial reconstituted with 1mL of BAC water. I take 6mg, so that's 0.12mL. 2mg would be 0.04mL in that case.

I usually (95% of the time) use 2ml of recon solution for anything going sub-q. But that's just my preference.

This is great info. I think my hubby needs to try this. Tirzepatide doesn't seem to be working for him anymore. He's a bigger guy around 300 with a bit of belly fat (don't tell him I said that, haha), so this could really help. The only thing is he works from home and sits at a desk, so he's not very active. But maybe your great results are from being more active. I'm gonna look for more posts about this. Now I'm super curious.

I'm older with knee issues that limit my workouts. I also have a desk job. I do resistance training, try to get 5,000 steps, and live on the 3rd floor. I walk up and down twice to get the steps in. That's it. I've lost 40 lbs in 12 weeks. He'll be fine on Reta.
