Retatrutide - hunger return & cycling?

Once you stop taking Retatrutide, approximately how long until your appetite is back to what it was before treatment? Also, is it okay to pause treatment for a couple of weeks and then start again? And are there any reasons not to take it?

I stopped Reta like a month ago when I hit my goal weight. My old appetite came raging back last week. I even had my first real binge in ages over the weekend. I'm thinking about going back on a super low dose just to keep things in check.

For me, the constant hunger came back around 10 days after stopping Reta, and the urge to binge followed about a week later. I'm back on now because of it. I only stopped because I had to. I've started and stopped twice and had no problems jumping back on either time. I took about a month off each time.

I've decided that I'm going to continue with a maintenance dose after I reach my goal. I felt the appetite suppression almost immediately – within hours of my first dose. Even if a low dose isn't as effective, that little bit of impulse control is worth it for me.

I lowered my dose by about 1mg from where I left off. So, when I stopped at 4mg, I restarted at 3mg. When I stopped at 3mg, I restarted at 2mg. It was totally based on gut feeling, not science. I just figured that since I increase by 1mg every month, I'd lose about 1mg of tolerance with each month-long break.

I've been off Ozempic for about 6 months now (was on it for a skin condition). I've been really careful to not gain back any weight, and I've actually kept losing! It's been amazing. I'm so happy for the initial weight loss kickstart.

When you restarted, did you go back to the same dosage, or did you start low and work your way up?
That's a good question. I'm mostly worried about side effects coming back strong if I jump right back to the same dose after a break.

Interesting about Ozempic helping with skin conditions... I've heard some anecdotal reports, but haven't seen much research. Jordan, what skin condition was it prescribed for, if you don't mind sharing?

It was for Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS). My derm said Ozempic was showing promise for people with HS.

honestly i'd take this forever just for the food noise gone. having something delicious in the fridge & forgetting about it for days, then not even wanting it anymore—that's wild.
