Retatrutide: Ozempic 2.0?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
The step-up pattern is real - tirzepatide and retatrutide hitting harder for ozempic non-responders tracks with the mechanism difference. Dual and triple agonism recruits more pathways than sema alone.

the Napster-to-streaming arc is the right historical parallel for where GLP-1 access is probably heading - the current gray zone access pattern tends to be a transitional stage that compresses as cost drops and legitimate access expands. what looks like a permanent enforcement problem usually resolves when the product becomes cheap enough that the alternative stops making sense economically for most people

One medication's popularity dropped since a competitor works better, so there's incentive to push people back toward the first option. A newer compound is coming that outperforms the current leader, but since it's made by the same company, pricing will probably stay elevated to protect the existing product line. In a couple years once similarly effective alternatives from other companies show up, that's probably when pricing finally comes down.

Content sitting on a few years' worth of reta for now. Two generic versions of Ozempic just cleared approval in Canada with more expected, so prices should start dropping. Give it a few more years and something even better might show up. Still, don't want to hoard too many years' worth, odds are I'll be away when the power goes out and lose the whole stash at some point, ha.
