Rybelsus - one week in!

I’m two days into Rybelsus and already down a few. I’m sure it’s mostly bloat and water, but I'll still take it! I feel like my system is finally calming down. Happy to see that.

I've heard it can really take a while to kick in for some people. Saw a post on Reddit where someone said they didn't feel anything for the first couple of months on Rybelsus, then BAM! Appetite control just showed up. Hang in there!

Thanks @Charlie_18, good to know. I'm a bit worried about the transition. I've been reading about the pros and cons of these drugs. It's really for people with health issues related to their weight, not just for cosmetic reasons. Gotta keep that in mind, especially with potential risks.

Exactly. I'm doing this because my doctor said it will help my blood sugar, not just to look good at the beach.

4 lbs in the first week is a positive signal on Rybelsus - non-responders usually see little movement at this stage. The tirz switch makes more sense if the losses plateau later.

First week on Rybelsus often undersells the trajectory - the oral bioavailability means effects build more gradually than injectable forms, and 4 lbs in week one is ahead of the typical oral sema curve. POTS on top of a bone disease changes the exercise component significantly; the medication doing the appetite work may be the right lever when the mobility piece is constrained.

High-protein convenience foods are the practical anchor on these meds - shakes with 25-30g per serving cover the gaps when appetite drops too low to eat a real meal. Cottage cheese and Greek yogurt work well because they're cold, require no prep, and 15g per serving adds up fast. Jerky and pre-stripped rotisserie chicken solve the protein problem on days when cooking is off the table entirely. The key early on is having grab-and-go options that don't require decision-making when appetite is unpredictable - having a few standard options removes the friction.

One week is too early to draw conclusions - Rybelsus takes a few weeks before the real appetite effect lands. The four-pound start is strong, but the full picture on how it responds to your body usually shows up around week three or four.
