Scale Victory! Now what about these arms?

I've cut about 40ish lbs in 4 months and I can actually see my collarbones again! 😂

Now I'm wondering how to reduce arm size (burn fat or tighten the skin) without going under the knife. My arms have always resisted weight loss.

I'm so thankful for this medication and that I'm starting to feel like myself!

You look fabulous, and your arms look fine too. Your body composition will keep changing for a while. Lift weights to rebuild any muscle you may have lost during weight loss and to maintain muscle mass. That should help tone your arms. Women generally don’t bulk up, unless they're trying really hard to do so, which is not easy. There's tons of great advice here to get you going. Best of luck!

It's taken me a year and a bit to shed around 55 lbs! How are folks dropping so much weight so fast?! I'm aware age plays a role, along with menopause and possible thyroid probs. But I'm happy to report my A1C is now 5.6.

Targeted fat loss isn't really a thing. Some of us just have stubborn areas that lose fat last. I tend to accumulate fat around my midsection first. Your arms *will* get smaller, just be patient.

Grab some 5-15kg weights on a certain online retailer and do 2-3 short workouts (15-20 mins) per week. There are tons of free workouts on YouTube.

Thanks for all the advice, everyone! I'll definitely look into heavier lifting. I've been using pretty light weights so far.

Loose skin is a pretty common side effect of rapid weight loss. I've heard collagen supplements can help with crepey skin. Has anyone here tried them?

Collagen and hyaluronic acid supplements might help. Some people also use retinol lotion on their body and hyaluronic lotion on their face and neck.

To help with loose skin, stay hydrated and build muscle. Muscle helps to fill out the space left by the fat. You can expect some tightening, but significant weight loss often results in some loose skin. Give it a year to see how much it rebounds.

I'm trying to lose weight slowly to avoid loose skin. It's taken me over a year to lose those 50+ pounds, and I'm okay with that. I've got some arm wrinkles, but nothing major.
