Scale Victory!

Hey All!

I've been bouncing between 142 and 144 lbs for a few weeks. I'm not stressing about dropping the last few pounds quickly, focusing on enjoying the summer. I weigh myself every morning out of habit, and this morning, the scale said 139. I thought it was a fluke, like it usually does. Stepped on again, same result. Moved the scale, still the same! Hopped on my backup scale (yes, I have two!), and it confirmed it. After over a year on this med, I'm lighter than before I had my daughter at 19! She's almost 36 now.

I'm honestly in shock. I haven't taken new photos in a while, but here's an older one for reference.

Wow, just wow! Seeing progress like this in your post is super motivating as I start my own journey. Congrats!

I've been on this for a year, and only lost about 28 pounds. Today I was down 3 pounds. That is HUGE for me. I will stick to my diet and exercise and see if I can fit into a size 8. Never in my life have I been a size 8. My cholesterol and blood sugar are also doing well.

That's awesome progress! Do you do a lot of exercise?

I'm just starting, and I'm wondering if I should start a workout routine. I'm still pretty heavy, so I'm worried about injuries. Right now, I'm just walking.

Hey Ant_Story, walking is a great way to start! Listen to your body. Maybe add in bodyweight exercises or light resistance bands as you feel more comfortable. No need to rush into anything too intense early on.

I've heard of some peptides claiming to target belly fat. Anyone tried anything like that? I read somewhere you're not really losing fat cells, just shrinking them.

InBody scan yesterday (not always accurate) was great. since October, down 26 lbs, only 2 lbs muscle. lift heavy 3x/wk, walk most days. almost below 50% body fat now. down 76 total since October diagnosis. feel brand new!
