Scale's not everything!

Isn't life weird? I signed up at the gym since I was feeling down about myself. I haven't lost weight since early spring, and even though I work out, I still felt like I looked the same as when I weighed 240+ lbs last year. While getting ready for the gym, I found an old purse I haven’t used since last year. Wow! Talk about a wake up call! So, newbies, remember to measure yourself!

Thanks for posting! Just a reminder about the rules. No discussing non-approved stuff or trying to buy/sell anything, even in PMs. Be careful out there!

I totally agree! You gotta take measurements! I didn’t know how much I had shrunk until I measured and compared it to my stats when I started.

That's wonderful. My telehealth provider measures my waist in addition to tracking weight. They explained that sometimes the tape measure tells a better story than the scale does.

And no loose skin! Lucky you being young. I started last fall and only started dropping pounds last month (not sure if it was the medication or a bug), but I look like a deflated balloon.

I hear ya! I'm losing slowly, and worrying about loose skin too. I'm trying to drink tons of water and moisturize like crazy. Hopefully that helps!

It's important to remember that semaglutide isn't a magic bullet. It helps, but lifestyle changes are critical for long-term success. Diet and exercise are still essential. Otherwise, you might just regain any weight lost.

I wish I had started sooner. I agree slow and steady is the way to go. Also, I lost a little at first, but once I got to the full dosage it really started working.
