Scared of hitting a weight-loss limit

Been on mounjaro since early February this year. Kicked off around 245 pounds, though technically 251 a month earlier, probably some holiday weight in there. Currently sitting at 7.5mg, down to 209. Running roughly 300 calories under maintenance. Still averaging close to two pounds weekly. Walking every day and about to start lifting to rebuild what's been lost. Genuinely life-altering so far, energy's up, thinking's clearer, told my spouse I feel over a decade younger. Still, a bit of nervousness creeping in. Been told this medication class typically produces around twenty percent total loss, putting me near fifty pounds, a mark that's getting closer by the week. That would still leave my bmi technically obese given height. Everyone's different of course, but genuinely curious whether anyone's pushed past that twenty percent mark. No rush here, forty seven and hoping for the 150s range by fifty. Any input from people who kept losing beyond that threshold?

Dealing with an autoimmune thyroid condition here. Started this medication three years back at 284 pounds. Lost 145 pounds total and have maintained that for over a year now. Peak dose reached was 10mg.

That specific percentage reflects the average weight loss recorded across a major clinical trial spanning 72 weeks. It doesn't indicate any inherent ceiling on how much weight this medication can help someone lose.

Most people see stronger results switching to the other medication since it's more potent overall. Made that switch personally and dropped another ten pounds afterward.

Because this medication is just a tool. Every bit of weight loss comes down to a calorie deficit. Winging it without tracking means eventually claiming a plateau exists when really a genuine deficit just never got created. Enough said.
