Scared to start, am I a failure?

Hi everyone,

I'm 23, female, and weigh around 215 pounds. I used to be in shape, but then I got diagnosed with PCOS. I've gained like, 80 pounds in the last 3 years, even though I'm working out and stuff. It's so frustrating!

I've been trying to lose the weight, but my periods are a mess. I had one period that lasted over a month with terrible cramps, and then I got my period like, three times in the next month. I'm so exhausted by all of this. My doctor suggested that I try Mounjaro, but I was too scared. It took me like, eight months to even consider it, and I finally decided to do it after seeing so many people here say it helps. I'm supposed to get my first injection tomorrow, and I'm so nervous. I've managed to lose 12 pounds in the last six weeks, which makes me think I can do it on my own, but I always end up gaining it back when I get sick. I feel so guilty about taking Mounjaro, like I'm taking a shortcut or something. But I also know I have a real problem. I'm so confused and scared, and I'm not sure if I should go through with it.

I'm also worried about the side effects. Any advice?

It's wild how much easier it is to eat well when you're on it, right?

It's like it boosts my own motivation. I still need to make good choices, making sure I get my protein and fiber. I even have to remind myself to drink enough water now.

I think it's worth a shot. You won't know about side effects until you try it. If they're bad, you can always stop. Any side effects probably won't last for more than a couple of days. It's been a huge help for me. I've been on it for 3 months, and I haven't lost as much weight as I thought I would, but I definitely eat way less!

If your doctor gave you this amazing med, just take it! Inject it into your stomach. You'll only regret the last 8 months that you didn't take it!

Mounjaro isn't only prescribed for shedding pounds; it's very helpful for dealing with metabolic problems, like PCOS and type 2 diabetes. As someone who has PCOS, and also had gestational diabetes twice, and had ovary surgery, I can say it helps make a lot of things go back to normal. If you were a type 1 diabetic and needed insulin, you wouldn't hesitate, right? You have metabolic issues, and even though they say that diet and exercise can help a lot, everyone's different, and there's a lot we still don't know about how our bodies handle glucose and insulin levels. Mounjaro could give your body some relief from all the symptoms and side effects of having a metabolic disorder.

To help you out, I also have PCOS, and it's helped my cycle become more regular. I used to go for months either bleeding or not bleeding.

I also use ground flaxseed, and that's helped me too.

Anyone have experience using peptides to help with injuries while taking Mounjaro? I've got a shoulder thing going on and was thinking of trying BPC-157 or TB-500.
