Sema for a year! My story

I'm hitting my one-year mark! (tomorrow!). Semaglutide has been a game-changer. I was on it between March and September '24, hopped back on in January to shave off a few extra pounds to fit comfortably into size 6 pants (started at size 18, yikes!).

My original hope was to just get under 200 lbs. Blew past that goal by summer, and now, being healthy feels like a permanent thing. Mad props to this medication, the geniuses behind it, and everyone who's been open about their experiences here. If you're on the fence, wondering if this could be you in a year—it totally can! Consider this your nudge. 5'8'' BFAB SW 225 lb CW 157 lb (68 lbs lost total)

Thanks for posting!

Just a quick reminder of the community guidelines. Discussions about non-approved versions of semaglutide aren't allowed, and neither is selling or promoting the sale of any medication, even via DMs. Don't ask for or respond to DMs offering such things, as they aren't endorsed. If you're a newbie, take a peek at the FAQ. This is just a friendly resource to enhance the conversation.

Amazing progress! You look fantastic! Now that you're a year in, any pro tips you can share? I just had my first injection yesterday and am super excited.

This makes me even more excited to start! Can't wait to focus on my health again. You look absolutely incredible!

OMG, I look exactly like your before pic right now! This is giving me real hope. Gave birth 6 months ago and packed on about 40lbs (and I've had an apron belly basically since childhood). You look amazing!

Hey Kelly14, if you are just starting out, maybe take a peek at some of the older threads. I found them super helpful when I began, tons of folks sharing their journeys. Don't be afraid to ask questions!

Thanks! My biggest tip is to listen to your body and be patient. The weight loss might not be linear and that is ok. Also, protein is your friend!

I am curious about the experience of long-term users. How are you handling maintenance? I'd be interested to hear if you are changing your dosage after a year, MixBro.
