Sema is cheating? Tell me more...

I keep seeing people talk about how semaglutide still needs work, like it's not the easy way. But honestly, I haven't done a thing different. I've dropped nearly 100 pounds just taking the shots. I might even eat crappier now 'cause I don't stress about it. I really think for some of us, this stuff just fixes what was broken. It proves my point that weight is often out of our hands. Being thin shouldn't be seen as some moral achievement.

Thanks for posting! Just a reminder that we can't talk about getting semaglutide from places that aren't approved, and don't try to buy or sell anything here. Also, check out the FAQ if you're new to this.

Well, I haven't changed much either, besides eating way less. Which is kinda the point, right? I'm not forcing myself, I just don't need as much. It's the same stuff I used to eat, just smaller portions since I had already ditched most junk food and sugary drinks long ago. I'm down about 85 pounds. I totally agree something was messed up with me before. I used to think about food constantly and never felt satisfied. I could tell you I literally never felt full before, not even once! I didn't even know what that felt like. Now it's like I eat when I'm hungry, and then I feel full and stop. I finally get it.

People forget that this medication shows that "self-control" isn't the same for everyone. Some people have hormonal problems that cause real hunger, not just emotional cravings. This drug removes that, so the body isn't always "starving". It's not a quick fix, and for many of us, those old hunger signals will come back if we stop. It shows how much fat shaming there is in society. Started at 224, now I'm at 138.

Sema has made my muscles feel different. I've danced my whole life, so I've always been active. But now I can actually feel my muscles under the fat, not just fat *and* muscles. It's hard to explain. When I hold my core, I actually feel my abs, not just sucking in my stomach. It's motivating!

Posts like this messed me up early on. A lot of people said the weight would "melt off," but that's not true for everyone. I still have to work hard, eat right, and exercise to see results.

Isn't this kind of negative? You can be "skinny" but unhealthy if you eat a lot of processed food. A healthy body is more than looks. You can be overweight and eat good things, or underweight and eat junk food. The problem is, if you stop taking the meds, the weight comes back.

The fatphobia in this post is insane. Demonizing fatness while taking a weight loss drug is wild. This medication treats a medical issue, and like any medication, the issue comes back if you stop. Some people need meds their whole lives, and that's okay. Sure, lifestyle changes can help, but this medication *does* make you eat less. For those of us who've struggled forever, that alone is revolutionary.

Without changing your lifestyle and fixing the real problem, you'll gain it all back and more if you stop. That's true for anything you treat like a band-aid. Start making positive changes now and see this as a tool to help.

I don't have to tell my heart to beat or my kidneys to work. My body just does it. With sema, my body is working correctly and I eat and digest how I'm supposed to. I'm not taking credit. I'm just grateful it works for me. Down 26 pounds since May.

Saying "it makes me eat less" implies that fat people don't try hard enough and lack willpower. Even feeling full is hormonal. If your hormones are off, you don't get those signals and hold onto more fat. So, no, you (generally) didn't do anything effort-wise because the meds fixed it all. We shouldn't tell people on these meds to count calories if we don't ask thin people to do it. Many thin people eat junk and stay in bed all day, but we don't judge them 'cause their hormones are fine.

I haven't done anything different, but I've been a gym rat and healthy eater forever, even before sema. Now, with it, I've "effortlessly" dropped 44 pounds, not 'cause I'm eating less and exercising more, but 'cause it's changed something chemically. I don't get it, but it's amazing.

I'm def one of the people with basically no side effects. Just some constipation at first, which a little miralax took care of. Lost 30% of my weight. Like, why do people only post the horror stories?

Has anyone tried other peptides with this? I tried one a while back that was supposed to help with growth hormone. I had to stop because the side effects were terrible.

Started June 2023 at 238 lbs on Wegovy, 5'6. Switched to Zepbound at 165 in July 2024. Down to 153 total - 85 pounds off. Insurance changed October 1st, might get cut. Turning 58 next month. Goal maybe 140, but honestly fine staying here.

From that angle it's tough to say if it's extra fat or just low muscle tone. Definitely check the Meso forums - those folks know training inside and out, even though it's mostly guys they give solid guidance.
