Toward my obsessive-compulsive tendencies specifically. I ruminate far less now and can actually let go of negative spirals and worst-case thinking. That condition is why I originally got prescribed an antidepressant. While that medication helps, it also triggered an intense pull toward food, especially carb-heavy stuff, that felt impossible to tune out.
The single-pathway medication has quieted that pull from the very first day. Still enjoy food and eating, just at a much lower volume in my head. Once I'm full, I'm genuinely full. But beyond that, my obsessive symptoms actually seem better on this combination compared to the antidepressant by itself.
Also noticed less pull toward alcohol, and less interest in diet soda too. Haven't touched a pastry or sweet since starting twelve days back.
As of this morning I'm down over five pounds in eleven days. And that's while eating around 1800-1900 calories with over 120 grams of protein. Could cut harder, but I'm lifting seriously and trying to hold onto strength while the weight comes off.
