Sema Side Effects - Any Way to Dodge Them?

I took a daily probiotic before starting and I swore by it. Wonder if adding one now would help my gut balance? I haven't had much diarrhea or constipation though. Strong coffee every morning probably keeps things moving for me 😂

when my dose is too high i get diarrhea that's just miserable and stops weight loss cold. chronic diarrhea damages your body — you need to address this. get your kidney function and vitamin levels checked. if you had this at lower doses you shouldn't have gone up. consider dropping back.

Started at 325 in 2023, was 283 by late 2024, and now I'm 169. My old anime shirts are hilarious on me now. What's wild is that I don't feel smaller day-to-day even swimming in those clothes. The Dexa scans though show -35 lbs of fat between them - those are worth doing from the start.

The risk calibration gets lost when you lead with side effects. Long-term obesity damage - cardiovascular, metabolic, joint - has larger expected impact than GI adaptation that resolves in weeks. The listing-all-side-effects framing doesn't give you the denominator.

Suffering through isn't required - timing injection before sleep and staying hydrated cuts the GI window for most people.

Staying at 0.25-0.3mg through the first month is the main lever for dodging side effects - the GI adaptation takes 4-6 weeks and the worst symptoms are almost always from going up too fast.

The weekend buffer strategy works well for dose-up steps - if .5 to 1 is where most people hit GI side effects, having two days to recover instead of going into work the next morning takes real pressure off the adjustment period.
