Sema success - six months in!

Hey everyone! Been lurking in this forum since I kicked off my Ozempic journey last fall. Quick background: I'm 30, around 5'4", and have always battled my weight. But, getting my master's and moving overseas really threw me off... I felt like I had zero control over my eating habits or my physical appearance, which led to some serious blues. So, I started Ozempic in October of last year, aiming for a gradual weight loss. Losing weight too fast has always messed with my head for some reason. Over the past six months, I've dropped about 27 pounds. Sure, some weeks were a total standstill, but I stuck with it. I'm eating a high-protein diet, somewhere between 1100-1300 calories a day.

I haven't had any major side effects, thankfully. I did experience some constipation early on, but I tackled that with psyllium husk – it's like the go-to remedy in my family. It worked like a charm.

Lately, I've been dealing with some diarrhea, but I'm pretty sure it's because of Ramadan and my love for fried foods. My body's just telling me to chill and get back on track, lol.

Started at 220 lbs
Currently at 193lbs
Goal: 165 lbs

Awesome job! You're looking great. I'm on a similar path. I've lost around 18 pounds since early December. Slowly but surely, and I haven't had any side effects at all. My starting weight was 225 and I'm at 207 now.

This is so encouraging! Thanks for sharing. I started on the 11th and have only lost like, a pound and a half. I had a nasty headache after my second shot on Monday, but otherwise, I'm still feeling pretty hungry. I've been working out 4 times per week, too. You look amazing, and thanks for the inspiration!

Congrats, Blair1979! Your success is inspiring! I've been on a GLP-1 for about a year and the biggest thing I've learned is consistency is KEY. Sticking to a routine, even when you don't see immediate results, really pays off in the long run.

Thanks so much! Yeah I've definitely noticed that consistency is everything. Even if it's just walking a bit more each day or making slightly better food choices, it all adds up!

Hey y'all! Update: I was supposed to take my second dose, but I caught a cold on Friday and I don't think I should take it. I already can barely eat so I don't want to take the shot on top of it. I'm really hoping I start to see some results soon!!

Wow, amazing progress everyone! It's wonderful to see so many positive experiences. I agree with ShrinkingSheila that consistancy is key. Remember that this is a marathon, not a sprint, and small changes can add up to lasting results.

For those dealing with persistent diarrhea, consider a food sensitivity test. Sometimes, seemingly healthy foods can trigger GI upset, especially when combined with GLP-1 medications. Also, discuss potential enzyme deficiencies with your physician.
