Hey everyone! It's been about 18 months since I started my GLP-1 journey. I'm down a solid 95 pounds and, believe it or not, I've managed to maintain it. The key for me was getting my dosage fine-tuned instead of sticking to those generic dose increases. That's when things finally clicked.

How exactly did you get your dose personalized? Was it just tweaking the amounts until you found what worked best, or was there more to it? Seriously, great job!

Wow, you look awesome! Congrats! How did you convince your doctor to customize the dosage for you?

I love hearing stories like this. When I stalled for a bit, my doctor at my telehealth provider reminded me that plateaus are normal and not a sign of failure. That helped me push through until the weight loss started again.

You look great, congrats!! So, did you increase your dose more slowly than what's usually recommended? I've been on 2.5 of Mounjaro for five weeks. Just took my sixth shot last night. I am curious about customizing the dose...

Thanks, everyone! To answer some questions about the dosing: It wasn't a one-size-fits-all approach. My doc started me super low and we only bumped it up when I stopped seeing progress AND wasn't experiencing side effects. It was slow, but it worked. I think I spent almost 3 months at 0.5 before going to 1.0.

I am going up to .5 soon and need some tips to avoid side effects.
From what I've read, injecting at night can help minimize daytime side effects. Also, ensure you're getting plenty of protein to help preserve muscle mass.

Good to know about the protein, @In_The_Making. I've read that switching injection sites can help if the effects seem to be diminishing. Maybe try the upper arm instead of the abdomen?

Hey quick question, I am on a 1mg pen and taking 0.25mg doses. Do I have to throw it out after 8 weeks even if there's medicine left?
