Lots of buzz lately about a new weight loss drug that got the green light from the FDA. Articles are calling it a real game-changer after a study in the New England Journal of Medicine showed how well it works. The drug's been so popular that it's hard to find. Dr. Thomas Wadden, a big name in obesity treatment from the University of Pennsylvania, helped write that study. He knows a lot about diets, meds, surgery, and how to help people in regular doctor's offices.

My wife, who has type 2 diabetes but isn't overweight, tried Rybelsus (the oral version) a few months back. She got a killer headache, felt super sick, had diarrhea, felt tired, and got dehydrated after just a few days. Took her almost a week to recover. She's back to Tresiba shots along with metformin and glipizide.

My wife started semaglutide around May. She needed to lose 50+ lbs and wasn't into working out. At first, it didn't seem to be doing anything – no side effects, eating whatever. But she's lost almost 25 lbs since then, about a pound a week. She couldn't get a refill lately because of 'supply issues,' so I ordered some from a peptide company. Cheaper, but not as cheap as going through insurance.

Some people aren't changing their lifestyle habits. People I've known who go on diets often gain more weight back after. You need to change your exercise and food choices.

Binge eating is a serious mental health issue. These people need a psychological, dietary, and medical team. They're trying to treat mental issues with food.

Ozampic isn't a permanent fix. Some can't grasp this. These people are plus-size now and okay with being fat. The media pushes this.
