Sharing PCP Bloodwork Deets?

Do people tell their doctors about taking peptides? I'd assume you'd wanna discuss bloodwork and stuff with them, right?

How often is everyone drawing labs?

Nah, I keep 'em in the dark. They might think I'm just looking for drugs and flag my file. I get bloods done yearly and just look at the results myself. My doctor just says if anything's changed from last year.

I'm on prescribed tirzepatide, and that's the only thing I mention. If my labs came back weird, I'd ask to retest in a month while only taking the tirz.

So far, my numbers have all gotten better since starting tirz in July. None of my other activities have made things go south.

I have a ton of health issues, so I told all my doctors about it. The looks on their faces were priceless, lol.

They mostly just said to eat enough protein and exercise to keep my muscle mass, and then ordered some extra blood tests at my request. It's not like these are controlled meds.

They had the reaction you'd expect from telling a doctor you're getting meds from some random place online. Of course there are risks, but you have to weight it against the benefits of dropping weight. If I could actually afford the real meds, I'd switch in a heartbeat.

I was reading about DEXA scans, and it seems like a good way to track progress on these meds. Has anyone gotten one before starting or during their treatment? I'm thinking about getting one before starting sema next month for a baseline.
