Sketchy BAC supplier?

Endotoxin testing usually shows off-brand and Chinese BAC are sketchy. Even the Amazon BAC tested dirty before they banned it. Hospira literally says on the label it's sterile and non-pyrogenic.

That pricing is well below standard - verify the lot and sterility certs before use.

Not on the community boards means no track record and no batch reports - you'd be the first tester, which is a pass for BAC.

The pH testing approach for BAC quality verification is worth the minimal cost and effort - the pH range for injectable BAC is narrow and outside that range means either the formulation is wrong or something has degraded. The test strip method takes seconds and removes the guesswork about whether a cheap lot is actually within specification.

the waste ratio on 30ml BAC when you're only using 1-2ml at a time is the frustrating math - you're paying for and disposing of most of what you buy. the community workarounds for this tend to involve either sharing a larger volume across multiple compounds at once or moving to smaller container sizes when they're available

That's exactly where my head went too, initially. But genuine pharmaceutical-grade diluent is so easy to find and costs barely over a dollar per reconstituted vial, hate the idea of ruining a mixed vial just to save that dollar.

Even considered brewing my own preservative solution at home, since I already make a few basic solvents a couple times yearly for other projects. Kind of leans into that whole amateur-chemist vibe. (Turns out synthesizing peptides themselves would actually be simpler than making that particular solvent.)

Picking up bac water through a mainstream retailer, not sure that even counts as a rookie mistake. Seen way sketchier stuff posted here.
