Slow and Steady Sema Journey

Hey all! Just wanted to share my experience for those who might be seeing slower results. I've been on semaglutide for about 10 months now. Didn't really notice any weight loss until around month 3, but now I'm consistently losing about 5 pounds each month. It's been a game changer for me - first time I've been able to actually lose weight without feeling totally deprived or obsessing over food. Plus, with a family history of diabetes, elevated blood pressure, and heart problems, I knew I needed to make some serious lifestyle changes. My recent blood work came back looking fantastic. Feeling great!

That's awesome! Did you have to tweak anything to kickstart the weight loss, or did it just take time? I'm only two weeks in and already antsy, haha.

That's wonderful! Thanks for sharing your journey - I think it is coming off slower than I anticipated. It is indeed working. I’m happy with any results that I get - but it is more gradual than I initially thought.

Thanks for posting. I'm currently on 0.45 (first week) and still haven't noticed any real appetite suppression. I was on 0.25 for five weeks prior. I feel pretty fatigued, but that's about it. Fingers crossed I'll start seeing some changes soon.

That's awesome! Kim1990 Have you been working out or mostly just changing what you eat? I get a fair amount of exercise at my job, but I still tend to eat not-so-healthy foods. I've lost around 15lbs since last fall, but I'm on the highest dose now. Still craving sweets though. On the plus side, I definitely don't eat nearly as much as I used to before starting sema, and my lab results are much better, plus my body fat percentage has dropped. 😊

I've been taking it for 9 months, and it feels like I've been gradually losing weight. Interestingly, I'm currently around the same weight as you are at 10 months! I'm glad it's working for both of us. 🫶🏻

How many injections at 1mg did it take before you started seeing results? I took my first dose yesterday. I haven't lost anything since I started, so I'm really hoping this changes things.

Honestly, it wasn't just the 1mg dose that did it for me, DenverDiva82. It was more like a cumulative effect over several months on various doses. Don't get discouraged if it doesn't happen right away!

Wow, reading about everyone's progress is inspiring! As someone just starting out, it can feel overwhelming. I've tried so many things before without lasting change. Started meds in February at 385, now a month in and down to 349. Aiming for 220!
